Accurate, with a bright, easy to read display.
I like the fact that the scale is so big to handle bigger boxes; my smaller one worked well, but since it was only about 8x8 inches, I was never sure if a bigger box was weighing in correctly. I always felt that it was off to one side and the weight was wrong. I don't really have to worry about that anymore. I should have bought the bigger one in the first place, but I just thought, "I'll never need to weigh something up to 440 pounds". I should have just spent a little more for a bigger plate. The display is bright and easy to read, also. My only complaint is that the little stand for the display, even though it's magnetic, is always falling off the display. But I'm happy, anyway.

Worked well
Took it with me to help my daughter pack her stuff for summer storage. There is a 50 lb limit per box. Small room, so this thing was moved around a lot to accommodate packing space and moving boxes. Worked pretty well. I also had a luggage scale that I've used for years and pretty accurate (same reading as airport scale). And I weighed the suitcases with both scales, and readings were very close, within half a pound difference. My only concern is that the "stand" for the scale reader is attached magnetically to the reader and the stand kept coming off and also pulled the magnet from the other side out (the piece that was attached to the reader). I don't really need it, so it's not a big deal to me. I put the scale in with storage, surrounded by a blanket. I will update when it returns from storage to see how it faired.

Very nice scale with 1oz accuracy and maximum of 460lb limit
We don't use a scale to measure postage. However, we buy many foods in bulk and then break them down into sizes that we use in a number of different meals we cook. For example we buy 10 lb of hamburger and then freeze it in 1/4, 1/2 and 1 pound bags. When we decide we will have a meal with burger we simply pick the amount we need and thaw it in the microwave and then mix it in with the remainder of the ingredients for our meal. When I saw the ACTECK digital shipping postal scale I decided to give it a try.PIC1 (I have labeled each picture in the upper right corner because they never appear in the order I add them to the review) shows the scale and display. PIC2 shows the remainder of what you get. This includes an AC adapter, 4xAAA batteries and a mounting bracket (for the display) so you can mount the display in a fixed location. We typically put the items we are measuring on a plate or in a bowl. The scale has a tare function which you can use to zero out the weight of the plate or bowl and then simply add the thing we really want to weigh. The Amazon product description states the scale has a 1 oz accuracy and a maximum limit of 460 lb which is fine for our usage. Other features of the scale that were attractive to me are that the measuring surface of the scale is a nice large 11.8 x 11.22 inch and is made out of stainless steel. Stainless steel is a great material to use with food because it is easy to clean (if you are not going to use a bowl or plate to put the food on that you are weighing). The scale runs with either 4 x AAA batteries (included) or an AC adapter (included). I personally don't like batteries if I can avoid them because they always run out when I want to use them and you have extra care to dispose of them appropriately when they are drained. I will most likely always use the AC adapter. This scale also has a calibration mode. I have a 500g calibration weight and when I put it on the scale it read exactly 500g (the scale comes pre-calibrated from the factory). The display is large and easy to read and is attached to the scale through a 2 ft long coiled heavy duty looking cord. Because it is coiled it can actually be further away than its 2 ft length if needed. We are currently using the scale in place of our old mechanical scale that was not as accurate and had a much much lower maximum weight it could measure. If you are looking for a postal scale or a scale in general you should consider the ACTECK digital shipping postal scale. It will get the job done!

Super accurate and wide range and choice of weight units. What’s not to like!
I got this for use in the kitchen and expected I’d find other uses for it which turned out to be true. First of all the unit is packed nicely and comes with the four batteries and a USB plug and the cord for plugging it to AC power. On batteries it times out but on AC it can be left on. It also came with a card noting it has a 10 year warranty and a USA address and US phone number to call if you need help.I put in the four included batteries and put it on the floor and turned it on and weighed myself and kind of a capacity test. It read the same as my scale upstairs. Not really a good test so I put it on the counter and took some heavy roasts out of the freezer. These were weighed using the certified scales at the market and the weight were noted to two decimal places in pounds. This scale was accurate to +/- 0.01 pounds which could just be the frost on the cling wrap since they came from the freezer. What’s really nice is the cord is plenty long but it is precoiled like a old telephone line so it’s short when desired like on the counter and long enough to reach up 6 feet when the scale is on the floor. It has a tare to zero feature which allows you to put a basket or container on the scale and then zero the readout. Then you go and put the stuff in the basket and the weight displayed is only what you put in, the basket weight is zeroed out. Very handy when weighing out liquids or powders for cooking or in the shop measuring out oils and car fluids. It’s nice that the units can be easily changed. Weighing that Baby? - you’ll want pounds and ounces, maybe just ounces for some uses and switch to pounds reading out to two decimal places in the shop, beer brewing or ammo reloading room. Going metric then use kg and grams. Once you get over 999 grams it starts to tally the kilogram and grams. Sorry no tenths of a gram but if you need that resolution then you’re a dealer and this is not your scale. It’s so handy I’ll be using it to pack my luggage just up to the limit so I won’t have to decide at the gate whether to leave behind the baby’s formula or my favorite shoes, tough choice ;)
