I absolutely love the scent of this pillow. I was surprised at first to notice how refreshing this cypress scent was as I removed it from the sealed plastic. First impression: the pillow itself seemed smaller than I expected, but I do think it’s the dimensions that are noted by the seller. Either way, it’s big enough to put your head on it and use it as a neck-supporting pillow, and I slept on it last night. It feels slightly cool to the touch which is actually nice because you feel more refreshed and relaxed due to the combination of buckwheat hulls and hinoki cypress flakes. The scent of the pillow is similar to walking into the forest and encountering Christmas trees that have that refreshing “clean air”, pine or fir tree, scent. Cypress trees belong to that same category in my opinion. The Hinoki cypress phytoncides is known to be insecticidal, anti microbial, and antifungal. Therefore, they may also keep pests away from where you sleep. And it’s a perfect combination with the buck wheat hulls. As off-putting as hinoki cypress may be for insects, the better it is for us humans, as it is apparently beneficial to our health. The effects can have a positive effect on our stress levels, reduce anxiety and improve our immune system. I suggest looking up “forest bathing” to read more on that subject. Either way, the materials used and the scent are all worth the price. I can see that this is going to be one of my favorite pillows, as it already helped me with my neck and shoulder pain issues that I’ve been having the past few days. One night sleeping on this and my sore neck and shoulders are already feeling much better. The pillow cover is also pleasant and a good sturdy quality, and I like how the cover is effectively doubled up. Even the inside pillow that contains the buckwheat hulls and cypress is well-made. I like that the main zippers are hidden so they don’t scratch your face or skin. Highly recommend.

I suffer from chronic neck, pain and posture issues. I’ve tried tons of different pillows and haven’t found one as that worked as well as this one. It did take a few days for me to get used to a firmer pillow, since I had always liked a really soft pillow before. It’s the perfect size for neck support for back sleeping. I’ve also found it really comfortable for side sleeping, although it takes more adjustment to get comfortable. It’s also a great size for travel and can fit easily in most bags. I haven’t had to take any buckwheat out. After a few days, it formed enough to my neck that there wasn’t a need to. All I typically need to do is shake the pillow a little bit to read distribute the buckwheat when I feel it needs it. The buckwheat filling itself is very firm, but breathable. I never wake up, feeling like my neck and head is sweaty. It does have a slight sound when you move. Kinda Like those rain sound tubes. I actually find the sound comforting/ relaxing now. I think the design on the pillow cover is very cute. I would definitely buy another one as it completely changed my sleeping habits and has helped a lot with my neck pain.

Super nice and comfortable pillow. It has helped tremendously with my neck pain. I also use it as lumbar support. Excellent to travel as it is small and can fit anywhere. A very beautiful and exotic touch to your bedroom or sitting area.

It's made well but I took off two stars because it's a little too small it would be perfect for someone very petite also I think it's kind of pricey

The scent of buckwheat or whatever is inside the pillow smells really strong at first but within two or three days it becomes light and enjoyable. In another few days, you can barely detect it unless you really try to sniff the pillow. I get a light whiff of it now when I roll my head to the side. It’s not a floral scent or anything familiar. If I had to compare.. it’s like hinoki with a cool and woody undertone. It also kind of smells like an exotic medicinal herb. Whatever it is, it goes away within a week to the point that it’s not detectable as you sleep. The size and shape is great for those who want a pillow for under the neck and base of head. I felt like usual pillows ended up supporting nothing while making my hair flat in the back. This pillow supports while not flattening my hair and it’s also helping with my occasional snoring. Another great thing about this pillow is how you can mold it to a shape of your liking. The buckwheat inside can be moved around by your head or hand so that the center of the pillow is flattened. Once you’ve made it to the right height, it will stay in that shape. It’s not like the mushy soft bean bag pillows. The pillow case is also great for washing. There’s three layers; thin cotton or linen case that holds the buckwheat, dark grey outer pillow case, and another outer layer that can be zippered on and off. The outer zipper layer is probably the only one that needs washing since that’s what touches your neck and head. It’s great because once zippered off, it’s like a small piece of quilted cotton. I’m happy with this purchase and it’s worth thirty something dollars I paid for. Honestly, I am much happier with this pillow than my other over-a-hundred-dollars posh goose feather pillow.

This thing is super tiny. For 31.99 I thought that was pretty steep oh yah total cost from Amazon 42.59. You would think you were getting a "normal" size korean neck pillow. this thing is half the size it's made a a infants head. Stay away, it's ridiculous.

I love this pillow. I feel my neck is so comfortable when I wake up in the morning. and smells good, but If you want regular size of pillow this is not for you, this one is relatively smaller than others You must check the size before you order.
