Bright and comfortable headlamp
Headlight is used for night hikes but would serve well for night jogs as well. It’s lite and bright. It takes a little getting use to the single control button but adjusting to your dome is straightforward and easy. I do wish there was a way to disable the auto brightness feature but it has not been an issue since I’m using it in complete darkness. I has a long life battery and they are swappable if you are planning an extended trip. It only comes with one battery so if that is what you need you’ll need to purchase additional batteries separately. Very satisfied with it as it serves my purpose well.

The distance sensor feature is useful
I really like this headlamp and I’m glad I got it over a cheaper one because the little sensor on it is very well done. It subtly adjusts up or down depending on how far away you’re looking and it works very well. It also uses the sensor to turn the headlamp off completely if you enter a brightly lit area which saves power and is just downright convenient not having to mess with the settings as conditions change. The only downside I’ve seen is that if your breath condenses right in front of your face it can sometimes block the sensor making it think you’re looking at something very close and dimming the light. In practice it’s a minor issue but it is one situation where the sensor doesn’t do the right thing. I use this mainly for trail running in the dark in the Pacific Northwest and it’s perfect.

Hi quality.
But this as a present to my cousin when I took a trip to Hungary, he was happy with it and says they are very comfortable, very bright and easy to use.

Long battery, very bright, and comes with a bonus case
I've had this headlamp for about a year now, and put it through its paces. I've had it in my pack in a hidden compartment indefinitely, and I'm glad I got it. Took it out climbing, and ended up getting back a bit later than expected. The light on full power is bright enough that I felt confident enough to run on a pitch black night with about the same confidence as running in dusk or sun up conditions. Further, the fog light is very convenient; I had a whiteout ski "adventure" where we ended up (again) out later than expected, and it worked great for keeping the path lit enough to keep going. Charging is trivial, and although it's not the fastest to charge up, just leave it on the charger overnight before your adventures. And if you're forgetful like me, it has enough battery life that you can be confident it will (probably) get you through multiple emergency situations on one charge. Functions well in inclement weather, comes with a good enough case, and attaches to headgear/helmets easily.

Another solid iteration of the petzl headlamp, just not perfect
This is a very bright headlamp. I picked it up because of the USB-C rechargeability. And it's also dual function for me: I use it both for hiking and for night riding my bicycle. I find that it's bright enough for bike riding. As far as its durability goes. IDK? I've had it for months now, I've used it extensively, and I have absolutely no problems with it. But I'm also careful with getting it wet. That's always my main concern. I haven't had it out of my head in a full downpour. I try to keep it tucked under the hood of my raincoat. With careful usage its been very durable for me. I appreciate the fitting mechanism of the headlamp. I like the way it tightens and is easy to adjust. Its very comfortable to wear. I'm knocking it one star for two reasons. One is that the power switch is easily pushed, and I've had the battery drain a couple of times because the light was on inside my pack all day. Also, there's just something about it, maybe its the power switch thing. But this doesn't quite feel like the perfect piece of gear that I love every time I look at it. It's a high bar. But I like to have every single piece of my gear dialed in exactly what I want. Oh yeah, and the "reactive lighting" feature. I don't use it. I find it to be annoying, actually. Maybe it's just me, but having the light flicker randomly to brighter/dimmer settings in the dark is kind of distracting, and I don't like it. I always turn off that feature. It's definitely a solid headlamp. Worth the money. Just not perfect for me.

The Best All Around Headlamp
Simply the best overall headlamp you can buy. Although a little pricey, you get what you pay for, and this lamp delivers, I have purchased three of them over the last 2 years. I live in rural Costa Rica and when I'm out walking the dogs at night, I can see whatever snake is in our path way before I step on it. Dear Petzl, feel free to make me a product tester.... If only everything else was made this well....

Essential equipment
A headlamp is a necessity in just about anywhere wild. I have used this one in Colombia, Ghana, and Oaxaca Thus far. It is compact, featherweight, and fits well It is very bright; for nighttime trail walking, the least bright option is fine. The battery life is long enough that I have never come close to exhausting it. This replaces an oldervPetzl that went missing on a trip. Compared to the old one, it is much brighter, but more or less the same size and weight.

High quality
Great high end headlamp. My only complaint is that the red LED only has one level, I would have liked a brighter mode but for night hiking, you can't beat this.
