Money well spent
Very quick delivery - within 2 days. Motor fit perfectly. Runs great. Back in buisness. Well worth the time and effort. Good chance to clean out the inside of dryer.

Great Motor, Poor Instructions
I wish I could upload a picture of the wiring harness that actually exists compared to the poor diagram that you receive with the motor. They are nothing alike. Fortunately, a very friendly service man steered me in the right direction for free. In the actual dryer itself, in the timer unit at the top of the dryer, there is a electrical wiring diagram sheet (you have to unscrew the top part to get to it). Hopefully you can understand electrical schematics. Once we knew what the original colored wires belonged to and what they operated, we figured out how they corresponded to the new colors on the new wiring harness and switches.Definitely not for a novice "do-it-yourselfer".Summary: Instructions suck. Motor works great!

Three Stars
Did meet my expectations except for the price. It is about 20.00 more than it should be

stopped working
The motor worked for one cycle and then stopped working. Chinese piece of junk. How do I get my money back?

The motor is right, the wiring instructions seem to be wrong.
Having realized this motor fits perfectly, but none of the instructions on the correct wiring sequence apply to my Maytag electric dryer.I have been able to get this motor running, but only by using the breaker switch and bypassing the timer to start and shut off the dryer.I am seeking ideas on how this motor will eventually be correctly wired, in the meantime, I really wish I could have purchased a motor precisely circuited for this dryer. This dryer is not close to being worn out to be discarded after replacing all the wear parts, so I will stay vigilant in finding the solution in getting it to operate correctly.

Maytag Clothes Dryer Motor Y303358 / 303358
This electric motor was a substitute for a motor in a 1977 Maytag clothes dryer. Even though it looks different (mainly because the original motor cover completely enclosed the windings), the outside dimensions and mounting points match exactly; and the motor is a direct fit for the 1977 original. The cost of this motor is a fraction of the price of a new dryer; and now, our old Maytag is good for another 35 years! -- Very satisfied!Installation note: The most difficult portion of this repair was reinstalling the dryer belt over the motor and tension pulleys. Due to the location and orientation of these parts in our old dryer, one must do this blind, by feel. The first time, I installed the belt "wrong-side-out"; and the sharp grooves in the pulley shredded the belt.IMPORTANT TIP: Save time and order a new belt along with the replacement motor, which is a good idea anyway.

Maytag Dryer Motor
Motor is fine. Problem is with the instructions for the wiring whichwere not clear.Had to do some research from a competitive seller on Ebay, and would have saved a few bucks also. If changing the motor, change belt and idler pulley. I did buy a kevlar belt for 7.69 on Ebay. Bought the idler pulley onEbay also. Shop around. Saved a good 60 bucks buying online, as opposed to going to regional appliance parts store. Had to make a Ground wire a little longer then the original. You will need some wiring tools like a wire crimper, wire stripper, wire cutter. Can be accomplished with a multi type wire tool. Might need a cople of crimp terminals for making the ground wire. Motor comes with three 1/8" terminals for the change over. Make sure you understand the wiring cross over. This is the only motor you can use anyhow. If your not sure what you are doing, refer to someone who has the proper skillset.

Over all it was a easy installation and works great
Wiring was a little different from the original, but on a 30 year old machine I can see room for electronical improvement. The replacement did come with instruction for the simple rewiring. Over all it was a easy installation and works great.
