Qi Men Dun Jia: An Ancient Chinese Divination System

A lot of very essential information in a relatively small book. Nevertheless, if you’re new but willing to persist and maybe supplement with some online information, this book is an invaluable guide. I’m still unable to fully map out a whole QMDJ chart with this but you can easily get one done with the many online calculators and this book will help you make sense of it all.

Great and informative book! Just one thing that it contains some quite of Chinese characters that I have to flip back and forth to see what those means but it’s fine.

Perhaps I expected more from Jerry King, who has some excellent books. The text is ok but the explanation on the chart configuration is rather confusing. Anyway, in view of the scarce bibliography available on the subject, is a recommendable book.

the book is very excellent even though I find it difficult as I m a beginner in QI MEN DUN JIA. I wish the author would use the english translations of chinese characters in QI MEN charts , and put the two side by side. It's very hard to figure out what the chinese symbols are while you are trying to understand the mechanisms underlining the divination system. You may be lost in both! This is the negative point I see in the book. Apart from that all is good.

The author did an excellent job with presentation and even giving basics of metaphysics. Very valuable info regarding Qi Men chart reading that I haven't encountered in other books. I wish there was more on date selection and movement but Jerry King did and excellent job with the knowledge he shared and the book is definitely worth a read for anyone interested in this area. Great book!

Easy to read but readers need more some explanations about what author intended.
