Best of the best for streaming - no regrets.
Great piece of equipment! One tip I will give is to name it “Echo” for voice recognition if you have a house full of Alexa devices - saves tons of headaches!Setup was easy, the LAN connection is solid, picture and streaming quality are superior to even the 1st Gen Shield.

Always a great device!
Despite being open-box or refurb, you won't know compared to new that this device is any different. Works as it's supposed to and even feels snappier (I'm upgrading from a first generation Cube to this. While it's plainly explained in the product description, don't forget to upgrade to a high-speed HDMI cable as you might get confused with flickering when using this version of the Fire Cube and it's because it doesn't support older generations of HDMI cables. Otherwise, I'm enjoying to increased menu speed and solid display of 4K streaming (if your show or movie plays in that format). Worth every cent for this version. Recommended.

Honestly does not feel any faster than my 4k Pro Max stick
The cube is supposed to have the fastest processor, but I don't notice the difference. Menus are just as quick with either device. Love the built-in ethernet port. That does help with streaming compared to most wi-fi connections and I don't need a dongle. Bought this refurbished and it looks and operates like new. No setup issues at all and all functions are normal. 4k movies look great streaming locally using my Plex home server and content from Amazon Video has no issues or artifacts.

Must Have!
Awesome with Alexa+ A lot faster than Fire TV stick. I plug it in to my older model Android TV which connects to my soundbar. Everything connects automatically. The UI is a lot smoother than TV built-in. Voice control is fast. Seems like I can ditch the remote now.

I guess these Fire TV cubes only last a couple of years before you experience lots of buffering and having to shut them down every so often.
