The media could not be loaded. Assembly was easy enough without even reading the instructions… however, I have put something similar together on two other occasions as well as a cat water bowl fountain… so if this is new to you, reading the instructions may be a good idea. I forgot that distilled water is best for the pump so I did need to dump out the tap water I had first filled it with and then fill it again with distilled.The light: didn’t love it so I pulled it out of the hole and left loose down below and that easily took care of that!The sound: I reallllllly wanted that sound of the water… a little babbling brook trickle… but put together as intended… with the light in the hole and the rocks around the bottom… there were very little discernible water sounds… and my pump is super quiet (which is awesome!) However, after taking out the little light the water falls right down that hole and if your water level underneath isn’t right up to where the hole is… VOILA! You get that little water fountain noise that, I think, most of us are wanting!Anyway, I really love the look and sound now that I’ve played around with it and set it up in a way that works best for me!

This fountain uses a lot of water! I can only hear it trickle when it's completely full, which doesn't last very long. I bought the fountain to hear the water, and I'm very disappointed.The colors are nice. The colors reflect off the water nicely, also.

I ordered this for my desk at work based on a recommendation for lowering my stress. It's the perfect size and is nice and calming. The assembly directions were terrible but if you've ever assembled a cat drinking fountain it will be fairly easy to figure out. Overall the perfect addition to my desk!

Love the look of this fountain. Just a little disappointed that the water is so quiet. I was hoping for more of a waterfall sound. Occasionally I can get it. But it really is a nice look to my office desk.

It’s a good product and works fine, but the problem is that you can’t turn off the light which is kinda annoying but not a huge deal. Overall I would say it’s good for the money.

Very small...very cheap... I'm so butt hurt I even missed my opportunity to return it because when I tested it out I wrapped it back up and was so disappointed that I put it off to the side and I forgot to return it... so now I have this very misleading fountain and its embarrassing to even give as a gift... very disappointed because I am not a snob or unreasonable or ungrateful... this is a DISAPPOINTMENT...
