Fast strong suction, but needs troubleshooting
Just received it, have several bissel & several pets. They all work great & are affordable. This one thoroughly cleaned my basement carpet, quickly. Great fast suction, easy 2 empty and clean. Will update in a few months.UPDATE: I really wanted to love this vessel because I've lost all my others I think they're great affordable vacuums. But this one definitely has some areas that need troubleshooting. This vacuum can overheat, dust does come out of the vacuum while you're vacuuming and I found that I had to constantly empty the container to prevent the dust from coming out. It also begins to make a high-pitch sound when it's on and the back was container is difficult to clean it makes a mess oh, because you have to twist the center part out to clean the top filter which gets clogged with dust and debris causing the dust to come out of the vacuum while you're using it. So I've had it and used it for just about a year and although I still love Bissell I wouldn't purchase this vacuum again and I wish I could find an older model that I used to use because I really love those.

Bissell Cleanview Review
OverviewJust over two months ago I purchased this vacuum for use in a two-bedroom apartment with both carpet and hardwood floors. This product is ideal for home owners or home renters, especially pet owners. You will find that this Bissell will pull up dirt and hair left behind by a similarly priced Shark branded vacuum, even if done immediately after use of the Shark.FeaturesThe most notable feature of this vacuum is its clear and bag-less dirt tank. This tank lifts off the vacuum with the press of one button and empties from the bottom, allowing you to simply place it over your garbage and press the release lever to get rid of the contents. The tank also contains a washable filter that can be removed and washed for repeat use.Secondly, this vacuum has five bristle-height options. These five options allow the bristles to either be lowered for maximum contact with carpet or raised to avoid contact with hard surfaces. When raised, the bristles and suction will continue to run, allowing you to utilize the suction to clean hardwoods or tile.AttachmentsThis vacuum comes with three attachments that attach to the hose on the back, allowing for use on unique surfaces or hard to reach corners:• Turbo Brush• Crevice Tool• Upholstery BrushThe Turbo Brush is ideal for use on rugs, or any spots that require extra attention. This attachment allows for faster bristles speeds than you normally get with the bottom bristles, making it ideal for cleaning up spills or any other accidents that may occur. The Crevice Tool is a plastic attachment that can extend your reach into hard to access corners. This tool is especially useful for getting behind trash cans, washers, and furniture. The Upholstery Brush allows you to clean furniture with soft brushes, while also providing suction on the surface to pick up any dirt. The Upholstery Brush can also be used to remove dust from a variety of surfaces. This vacuum performs as advertised, and at a price point below that of comparable products from other brands. If you choose to purchase this vacuum, it will be a great asset to help keep your household spotless for years to come!

Really impressed with it's power for the price!
I've owned a lot of different types of vacuums in my life. I wanted one for carpets, hardwood floors, and with an attachment for couch, stairs, etc. without paying a premium price. The good: wow, this has to be the most powerful vacuum I've used. It really does a number on my carpets. The powerbrush - which does not use a motor turned head, it uses the vacuum air - is phenomenally powerful. It really does a number on my couch and the dog hair; a lot better than my last vacuum with an electric powered attachment. Attachment is great as well. Large capacity dust collection cup.The so-so: the chord is a bit shorter than what I am used to. Also the chord attaches quite a bit far down on the unit, so you have to bend over a lot if you are starting and stopping to grab the cord to keep a hold of it in your other hand. You are also bending over a lot to adjust the height of the vacuum, depending on what kind of surface. When you change to the solid/wood floor setting, the powerbrush does not turn off - kind weird but it still sucks well. Conclusion: it has a few inconveniences, but overall this is a very powerful vacuum that does better than any other vacuumed I've owned. Really impressed with it's power for the price!

Great Value for the money
As a guy, I don't want to pay any more for a vacuum than I have to, because over the years it never really made a difference, they are all made out of plastic, and would last about 2-3 years and die, and I would have to buy another. I found that vacuums like this one hit the sweet spot of being affordable, decent quality, and lasting about as long as most vacuums last. I have only had it for a month, and used it twice, but so far its worked great, I didn't realize how bad my last vacuum was until I used this one, huge improvement, really improved sucking up the dog hair out of the carpet from my Australian Sheppard. Why buy a $300 vacuum when this one will do the job almost as well for a fraction of the cost.

This thing sucks.
I have a dog who sheds a lot and hadn't been able to vacuum my apartment in three or four months. I bought this vacuum expecting something average, but it just may be the best vacuum I've ever used for under $150. It is really powerful, sucking up all the dirt and dog hair without having to go over it multiple times. It's also extremely quiet. My dog is usually afraid of vacuums, but this time he laid a few feet away watching curiously.Pros: powerful, quiet, good assortment of attachments, easy to clean, easy to dump dirt, excellent height adjustment. Appears to be quite durable.Cons: furniture attachment doesn't get much pet hair out, hose could be longer, power cord could be thicker (roommate ran over it and tore a hole in the insulation which I repaired with electrical tape), hose requires a bit too much physical force to pull out of socket.
