Spikes are sharp as cactus spines ... be careful!!!
This tea pet is not for petting. The body is covered with little spikes that are as sharp as cactus spines - much sharper then depicted in the photo. While unboxing the tea pet, I was pricked several times through the protective bubble wrap. If you don't mind the spikes that are sharper then needles it is a very attractive piece. I would not give this item as a gift. It could be considered dangerous and bad luck.

Great overall tea pet!
Great size! Love the detail and the different color of the coins. Tea does collect in the mouth so just remember to dump it out before you pick it up and move it so you don't spill!Also the spikes are a tad sharp, so if you have kids you might want to make them dull with sandpaper or something.
