Excellent pastry mat
This mat has everything I need. The backing keeps it in place well on my table. The slight rim around the edge helps keep the flour a bit more contained. The large size gives me plenty of room to work. It cleans up beautifully. The little zip tie that allows it to be rolled and stored is handy.

Wife loves it for making Pastries!
Used to make breads and other pastries. Great product and easy to clean. I love it cause now she's not leaving dough all over the counter!Extent the life by using plastic kitchen tools for any separating of foods. Do NOT use metal utensils or knives. You may damage it. Really good buy!

Nice.
Sturdy silicone mat with a raised edge to prevent flour from spreading beyond the mat. I've used it several times and it stores nicely on a hook in my kitchen. Good to have when working with dough.

Great pastry mat!
I bake and cook a lot including sourdough, came across this mat on one of the daily deals and was looking for something to pot on the counter when I knead dough for bread that would be easier to clean than the counter. This mat is exactly what I needed! The dough doesn’t stick to it as much as the counter, it has a small raised edge so it contains most of the flour and is a snap to clean. Much easier than an older pastry mat I have just stick it in a sink of soapy water and rub it together or wipe it down and rinse it or it’s dishwasher safe. A little trick I’ve learned is to wipe the counter with a damp cloth enough to moisten the counter then lay mat over moistened counter and mat won’t slip. It isn’t really thick but it doesn’t need to be and that’s why it’s so easy to clean. Don’t use knives on it and it should last a long time. It isn’t huge but it’s big enough to knead dough and roll it out so it works great for me.

NOT durable - ripped on first use
I wish I had taken a picture before I threw it away...I made some apple fritters in the air fryer. When I took the mat over to the sink to clean, I noticed a large mess where the mat had been I didn't think about it, and I just cleaned it up. To be honest, my disability had me in pain, and I just wanted to get things cleaned up, so I rushed through cleaning the counter. After that, I had to take a break before doing the dishes; this included cleaning the mat. By this time, the fritters had finished cooking, and I had one of the kids take them out and dip them in the icing. As I started doing the dishes, everyone was excited to try the new recipe, as I had just bought the air fryer last week on Prime Days. I went ahead and told them to "just save me one" :)When I got to the mat, I found about a 2" x .75" hole in the middle. Just as I explained to everyone that I didn't know where the missing plastic was, I started going through what I had cleaned and thrown into the garbage can. When, and I feel this is a blessing, an ADULT found it within one of the fritters. I can't begin to imagine what 'could have' happened if it had been one of the kids eating in haste. The only time I can remember there being an issue was when I first started folding, and the dough scraper caught on it. I noticed some air bubbles under it that I didn't notice when I laid it out on the counter. I lifted the edges and got them out, but I remember the feeling of folds as I collected ingredients to fold them together.I've never used a 'mat' on the countertop before, and as my pain has kept me from doing much in the kitchen, I really hoped that the ease of cleanup this promised would allow me to do more. Thank the Lord, no one started choking on the missing piece of rubber.I don't like leaving negative reviews, but the more this sat with me, the more I felt I had to warn people.
