Know Your Own IQ

I was somewhat disappointed with my purchase. The book itself is what I wanted. However, the previous owner had gone through and marked their answers to the tests on the pages - admittedly in pencil. A sensible person would have done it on a separate piece of paper. Had the book description stated this then I wouldn't have bought it.

For what it is -- a book explaining to a general audience about IQ, and also providing tests -- this is a very good book.The vast majority of questions that I've seen people have are either answered in the book itself, or in its follow-up book, "Check your own IQ".

It was ok

Totally out of date. For example, one of the first questions asks you to solve anagrams and identify which ones are makes of car. Apparently, you are supposed to know that VANGUARD is a make of car - despite the fact that no such car has been manufactured since the 1960's!

Used this when it first came out in the 70's - my grandsons want to give it a try now!

I did 2 tests out of the book. It is like sitting exams. The instructions are clear and concise. If you enjoy doing puzzles this book is for you.
