This blow dryer brush is my favorite that I've ever used. I have owned the Hot Tools One-Step (HT) and the Shark Flexstyle (FS). This is by far the best one for performance, controls, and handling. For reference, I paid for all of my products and am in no way affiliated with Tymo or any beauty supply company. I'm just a regular person hoping to provide some good insight on my experiences.Heating: The Tymo has consistent heating with a true "medium" level. The HT and FS both get very hot on medium. I find the Tymo to have a much more moderate medium, which is an advantage for not damaging hair.Controls: The Tymo control features for airflow, heat, and the cool shot are well-placed and are easy to get to while styling. The FS controls are placed in such a way that when using it a full length (not the 90 degree use), the controls and cool shot button are difficult to find and seem oddly-placed. I find the same to be true with the HT.Sound: While the design of both the Tymo and FS are similar, I'm so grateful that the Tymo does not have the deafening, high-pitch sound of the FS or the loud sound of the HT. I've considered wearing earplugs when I use my FS!Weight: The Tymo is much lighter. When using a product like this, you spend a considerable amount of time holding your hands above your head. Anyone who uses these products knows they seem to get heavier with each minute! The FS is ridiculously heavy. The HT is also heavy. The Tymo doesn't feel like a workout when you use it.Feel: The Tymo is easy to grasp and feels good in your grip. The FS is a bit skinny and the roundness doesn't lead to a great grip. The HT is a bit large and feels bulky. The Tymo truly just "fits."Accessories: The FS has the edge on accessory capabilities, especially with the auto-wrap curlers. But if you are merely looking for an oval brush or paddle brush, the Tymo is the best. The Tymo brushes glide through my hair easily without pulling or snagging.Overally, I'm very happy with this purchase. And if Tymo comes out with a FS or Dyson-like auto-wrap curler capability, there will be no reason to keep my FS.

This is my favorite hair dryer, or, as I call it, hair "tamer". I have straight hair that likes to do its own thing. I also don't like to wash it every day. I still want to have body and shape to my hair in the mornings and sweeping the full rounded brush through my dry hair gives volume, height, smooths the hair shaft (gets rid of the kinks), and leaves a nice soft curl at the ends in as little as 5 minutes.The dryer attachment is small but packs power and works well, though I tend to use the rounded brush attachment the most! I haven't used the regular one-sided brush yet. The sound level is also a plus and I like that I can change the heat and cold force independently to find the right balance for my hair. This is the best hair-dryer I have found and I'm really pleased with the results - I take it everywhere. Thank you!

Took longer to dry my hair than my other one. I can’t figure out the need for 3 different attachments, when they all seem to do the same thing. I used all 3, but the smallest one just blew my hair around. The biggest one didn’t give me any volume and the paddle one I think worked the best.I mainly bought this because it’s detachable for cleaning, where my other one isn’t.Do I think it’s worth 120$? Nope. I’d keep it if it was like max 60$, but I think I’m going to be returning it.
