Good quality pens for price
Great pens for the price, I collect fountains and have started being this brand for using in work so doesn't matter if get lost, write just as well as any £70-100 fountain by known brands.

Jinhao 159 - Oversize pen
The pens look massive and felt very heavy at first, but remove the cap, which posts well, and the weight is greatly reduced. The size is actually really comfortable and sits well in the hand. The Jinhao 159, like the x450 and x750, has the 6mm ink feed which I prefer as it gives a wetter nib, ideal for sketching. The pens look far more expensive than they are and although the nibs are not the highest quality, are smooth and not scratchy, even on cheap paper and could be replaced with a more expensive nib. Cleaning the pen before filling is important to remove any residues - cold water and a little washing detergent will do the trick before flushing through with distilled water. It is easier if you remove the nib and feed to do this - a simple process and plenty of instructional videos available. Overall, I like the Jinhao pens and although the 159 series don't seem to have all the 'fancy' finishes available with the other designs, they are clean and comfortable and good value for money.

Decent nibs after tuning, very comfortable to use if you like a heavy pen
Inconsistent nib width and I did have to tune one out of the three nibs to get a proper flow, but overall great pens. Very comfortable to use due to the pen width, but it is a heavy pen which may be tiring for some. For the price, worth a try!

Great value metal construction
Excellent value for money. All but one pen writes smoothly with good flow (the gold one has a bit of an intermittent flow issue).Build quality is excellent metal construction with a screw lid. Refill is easy with the included converters. Nice, weighty pens but not obese!I use these for sketching and prefer them over some of my more expensive pens.Posting isn't very secure but I don't tend to post the lid anyway so not really an issue for me.If you squint from a distance you'd almost believe they were Mont Blancs!

Solid, decent
These pens are big. My black Parker and blue Waterman pens are in-between the Jinhao pens ( the blue and white ones on the sides).Once you get used to the size, they do the job. I'm reassured by how solid these pens seem to be. There are no illusions of fragility. Worth the money.

Smooth writing quality fountain pens shame one Warehouse model of three was scratched
The Jinhao 159 model though derivative of a famous brand is an excellent pen with a smooth No 6 nib. The nib can be swapped for an italic or architects nib if required but these will cost easily three times the cost of the pen! The supplied nib should suffice. A wet writer; glides over quality paper and amazingly well priced when bought in threes as offered here. The gold and black finishes are tasteful and the black versions look classically restrained.
