Great product!
Awsome product. Easy to follow instructions. Took about 30 minutes to install in my 95 wrangler with Tuffy console. It would have been nice if Tuffy would have predrilled holes or had already been part of console. I had gotten tired of holding lid open because my aftermarket seats wouldn't allow lid to open more than 70 degrees. Now i open and it lifts lid and holds in place.

Keeps the lid from slamming
My fingers thank you.In my opinion, the strut should of been included with box and “I”would of appreciated the holes to be pre-drilled.

Meh... it works
It definitely makes the console better but I had to use a flat nut and grind off the stud in order for the lid to close. The cap nut hits the lid as it's closing.

Doesn't support the lid at all...
I installed this on the big, 12" wide console and it doesn't do anything to assist with opening or prevent it from accidentally slamming closed on your fingers. Everything from Tuffy is well made and although installation isn't snap in (requires drilling), it looks nice and like it should work, it just doesn't.
