Good quality and great imagery
These cards are great to introduce new words, an understanding of letters, numbers, shapes and coloursPros- the cards feel thick and of good quality- the cards are shiny and wipeable- each number card has the numeral on one side and the word on the other with an image of something corresponding to the number e.g. 9 on one side and the word nine with 9 ladybirds.- the letter cards have the letter in large on one side, lower case and capital letter, then on the other side an animal beginning with that letter e.g. Bb on one side and Bear the word and image on the other side.- the colour and shape cards are back to back - there are 7 different colours and shapes with the name underneath- All images are sweet and child friendlyCons- some animals are hard to say and one is mythical. However this can lead to conversation and provoke new language- there are two of the same card, not a problem just an observationOverall this is a great pack of flash cards

Pretty flashcards
My 17 month old absolutely loves flashcards. He seems to be struggling to learn to speak a bit and I think flashcards are beneficial because they focus on one word, the picture it relates to and the sound I make when I say the word.He enjoyed playing with these cards and appeared to find the lovely watercolour animal pictures engaging. My four year also really liked these cards and he made up a game with the shape/colour cards where he held up the shape and you have to guess what colour was on the reverse. So I think these cards would cover quite a wide age range from babies to preschoolers. The cards are made from strong card with a plasticky coating.. They don't crease too easily. They are very pretty. My only niggle is that to my eyes the yellow is actually green, which might confuse some kids.

Large and clear, wipeable
These Tiny Trees Flash cards are made from a strong card with shiny coating. Might be tear proof but can be creased, as would any card.Good size, clear, cute illustrations and educational type fun learning cards. I learnt something - never knew there was a bird called a Xenops; a native of tropical rain forests and swamps of South America (thanks Google)Good early teaching aid and £8.00 at time of review

Sweet flash cards ...
Thus is the first set of flash cards I have tried with my toddler and they are lovely. They are all double sided with A-Z with matching animals, 1-10 with matching pictures, colours and shapes. My 18 month old is at the bottom of the age range for them, and spent half the afternoon playing with them. She enjoyed tipping them out of the box, spreading them around and gathering them up as much as looking at the actual pictures. She can recognise some of the animals already and enjoyed me calling out what was on the card when she held them up.Some of the animals are a bit obscure as they have decided to use just animals to match up with the A-Z cards - I would have preferred some more general pictures that little ones are more likely to be familiar with, but that is a small criticism. The cards themselves are nice and thick and glossy. They are unlikely to last the next three years, to the top of the age range, as my little one has already creased a couple where she was a bit heavy handed with them. That said, they are as good quality as you can hope for with something made of card.

Nicely illustrated, quality flash cards
I got these cards for my 2 year old nephew, but his 7 year old sister spent more time playing with them than he did. I’ve showed her how she can play ‘teacher’ with him and help him learn his words, shapes, colours, numbers etc, and she was very keen to use them. The flash cards are less bright and colourful than others we’ve used in the past but look attractive, with lovely illustrations .They are made from a good quality coated card which can be wiped clean, and are a good size with fairly large writing. They appear quite classy and come in a sealed branded box. Would make a lovely inexpensive gift for a toddler or young child.

A missed opportunity I feel; the colours are dull & largely unappealing, in my experience so far
Some items pictured are not UK specific + the number '4' is the ‘closed’ style and I prefer the letter ‘a’ to be that of e.g. Century Gothic or Comic Sans (sorry!), for young learning.Speaking of fonts, the 'Guide & Activities' leaflet is in an irritating one that is hard to read. The 43 cards came in a cardboard box that is hard to access both in terms of the tight cellophane-type wrapper and the lid of the box. I tore mine!Negatives aside (for me), each good quality, shiny finish, double-sided card measures 9 cm x 13.5 cm, with rounded corners, and should last a fair time in terms of handling. The cards in the pack are:~ the NUMBERS 1-10, with the relevant count of a creature on the back, e.g. 1 Possum, 2 Leopards, 3 Sloths...~ the ALPHABET (capital/lower case), each with a ‘creature’ on the back starting with the relevant letter, e. g. Alligator, Bear, Crab (Nn is Narwhal, Uu is Unicorn, Vv is Vulture, Xx is Xenops, Yy is Yak...)~ 7 x SHAPE (blurred edges) cards, each with a different colour on the back, although 'yellow' looks like lime green to all of us around here!
