Fjallraven Men's Greenland Long-Sleeve Shirt

I am a fan of Fjallraven products and really like the G1000 material. I own a pair of Vidda Pro trousers and love them. This is my first experience with a Fjallraven shirt. I bought it as a camping shirt to protect my more delicate, wool base layer while I am gathering firewood & doing things in the wilderness that might result in a snag on my clothing.First, here are some of my measurements for reference: 5'7, 140 lbs, 40" chest, 30" waist, 18" shoulders (across the back), 15" biceps, 7% body fat. I bought a size Small.- G1000 is a great material. I like the ruggedness of it. It can take a beating, is windproof, has minor water-resistance and dries fast.- The workmanship is top notch. The stitching is solid. It is a well made shirt.- The snaps make for easy on & off- The fit is slimmer than many other work / utility shirts but it is still a bit boxy. It's a straight cut and not an athletic fit. An 'athletic fit' would imply that it tapers toward the waist but it is not cut that way. It looks a bit oversized on my frame.- The shirt is long. At almost 30 inch length, it goes down past my butt. The extra length means extra coverage however, I dislike sitting on my shirts and have to gather it and lift it to clear my rear when I sit. Plus I am not tall to begin with so the extra length makes me look even shorter when the shirt is not tucked in. My girlfriend said it fits like a chef's coat because of the length and because the hem is straight all the way around.- The chest pockets are long and they start a bit lower on the chest than my other shirts. It looks a bit odd to me. While practical, the length of the chest pockets adds to the oversized look of the shirt. Also, don't drop small items down a long shirt pocket. I was looking for something versatile, good enough to wear as a regular dress shirt for work, but also tough, and durable for anything outside or unexpected weather. It's built like a tank but looks very classy, and I keep getting compliments. The G1000 material is fantastic, water just beads and falls right off, mostly. There are a few spots where water can get in, but with some wax applied this is easily fixed. The only catch is the shirt will begin to feel a little more like a jacket than a dress shirt, but that means you get more function out of it than some of the stuff you'd buy at this price. The smaller details are well thought out, the pockets have plenty of space, the cuffs aren't terribly stiff or uncomfortable, and the buttons snap and hold really well.The only thing about this shirt is that it does not have an additional strap with a button, so you could roll up your sleeves without the shirt looking too wrinkled. Their Singh Trekking shirt has this, but I don't particularly like how that one looks.Other than that, this shirt has now become my go to for everything. Whether it's looking good in the office, dates, or something to wear outside when I'm camping or going for a walk.

Very tough material (although a bit noisy when it rubs against itself). Construction quality is high. I would classify this as more of a straight fit than athletic because it fits fine at the waist but is a little snug across the shoulders. I'm usually on the border of L and XL. I bought XL and it's still a little restrictive up top.

love the quality but when ordering a 3X (usually fit into a 1X or 2X) I expect it to fit. Also used fit finder on Fjallraven's site. Too tight. buttons pop open if i sit down.I wear a 2X Fjallraven jacket and its just right. Real bummer as the shirt feels good otherwise and would make a great every day shirt.

I'm 5'8, 185lbs. I found the shirt was too slim up in the shoulder/chest area. Also, the fabric is not very comfortable without an undershirt, and doesn't breath the best. I found the shirt is good to throw over a t-shirt.

This is my new favorite shirt. Very athletic fit, so looks really good untucked, but not kind if you have a bit of a belly.Quality material. I can wear several days without much wrinkling and it seems to resist spills. Water starts to bead up as soon as it hits the fabric.

This shirt was actually better than l had expected. Quality is right up there but l was fortunate to get it on sale . Otherwise it is pricey. I would definitely recommend it and l will buy other colors should l find them on sale.

Great material, but a weird fit. Ideal for slim-shouldered, sunken bellied giants! If your body-type suits, then this will be a top shirt.

Prompte Lieferung, gute Verpackung, einwandfreie Ware. Das Hemd entspricht voll meinen Erwartungen. Aber leider Fertigung in China und nicht in Europa! Schade, bei dem Preis sollte das möglich sein.

Wie nicht anders zu erwarten bei der Firma. :-) Ein tolles Hemd. Sieht klasse aus. Fällt bei mir aber im Schulterbereich etwas eng aus. Sonst trägt es sich sehr angenehm. Keine Mückenstiche. Kein Sonnenbrand. Es trocknet sehr schnell. Wunderbar sind auch die Druckknöpfe! Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Das Hemd ist wirklich super - robust und angenehm zu tragen. Passt tadellos. Die großen Taschen sind praktisch. Etwas skeptisch war ich wegen der Druckknöpfe, hatte schon Hemden die bei heftigerer Bewegung gleich aufgingen - aber die hier halten fest.
