The tone is bright and clear, and the nickel plated cupronickel body feels solid and well-made. Keys are responsive, and it plays easily even for a total beginner. I also appreciate that each flute is professionally adjusted before shipping it shows in the sound quality. The included case, cleaning kit, gloves, and tuning rod.

Background: I am an intermediate flutist, my main instrument is in for a major overhaul, so I decided to get a cheaper instrument for the downtime! The good bits: Well I am completely astonished by this flute, I had tried other Chinese made instruments and they all had flaws, keys not sealing properly, badly synced, unable to play low notes etc. This is the first time that one of these instruments has been fully functional out of the box! Low C plays wonderfully, all notes sound as they should! I may have gotten lucky, as for 60ish dollars I doubt there's any QC, but this one is just good! Could perfectly be a learners instrument. The meh: Obviously this doesn't sound like a 6000 usd flute, and intonation is a bit off especially on higher notes, but that is to be expected for the price. The bad: The flute joints are extremely tight, add to that the fact that this coating seems a bit fragile, and you will probably lose bits of plating around the joints (see second picture). In short: For 60ish usd I got a perfectly functional flute while my main instrument is in service, I will probably take this when I travel!

Beautiful flute and great for beginners. The color is gorgeous and it comes with everything needed to start. Just received it and it looks high quality.

*Update* *12.18.25* The flute keys began sticking after about 6 months of use, after that one completely stopped working. It served the purpose and lasted through the school year. This flute was purchased to replace a rental. The rental has been used for a year @ $20 a month. The pads needed to be replaced on the rental and I did not want to pay $160 for upkeep that I felt should be included. We are into one month of using the new flute with no complaints. The end attachment was difficult to attach/detach to begin with. My daughter can now attach/detatch with no assistance. Hopefully this flute will last long term or at least last her flute interest. I will up date as we go.

I've played flute for years. My daughter wanted to start playing and this item had good ratings so I thought we'd try it. The flute is absolute garbage. Most of the notes will not play at all. The tone is poor on the rest of the notes that make any sound. Avoid this flute and invest in a better product for a beginner. This will only frustrate and discourage them.

Was a gift and the person I bought it for will not stop talking about it No really they won't stop. Please make them stop. J/k but not kidding about the instrument it's really well made and sounds wonderful thank you
