Easy to put on. Easy to change from lateral to vertical use. Like that it came with 2 plates depending on which outlet you have. Fits perfectly. Decent, sturdy and functional. Strong plastic. Great value, will buy another.

I’ve been rehabing a cinderblock house in Mexico and my overwhelming perception is, electrical building codes are not JUST about fire, the fact that a building won’t burn does not throw the code book out the window! Especially exterior!Anyway, I like these covers a lot, easy to install using existing mount, don’t have to take any screws all the way out nor disconnect any wires. The gasket is nice and thick, seals well against irregular surfaces like stucco and is versatile, can be mounted vertically or horizontally. And I love how it protects things that are left plugged-in (which the more common types don’t do at all.) Toss in its very reasonable price point and you’ve got a clear winner!I’m going to put them on all of the exterior outlets — they’re going to have something plugged-in sometime, they should always be protected!

Replaced old dried out weatherproof covers. These are very study, durable, and I believe will last a lifetime. Very easy to install and looks nice!

Works great and relatively easy to install.

Easy to setup and very well made. Has 3 different covers inside the case that best works for the type of outlet you have. Takes like 2 minutes to take old one off and new one on. Will buy 2 more.

I bought a more expensive one at the Orange big box store. This one looks and feels nearly identical and was cheaper. I see no reason not to buy this one instead. It installs in 3 minutes. I would cut power to the outlet to be safe. You can never be too careful around electricity and should never work live (especially as a DIY'er).I have no idea how long these things last, but it should be good for a few years. I probably wouldn't expect it to last the rest of my life. I suspect the foam seals wear out over time (you can replace those without buying a whole new cover, though).It's important to protect all outdoor outlets with these. I had an outlet that had one of those older style covers and over the years the outlet rusted and welded itself to the metal gang box. I had to drill it off and throw away both the box and the outlet. So, yeah, don't be like me. Get a proper cover (they are code now).
