Real mahlab
Very high quality, real mahlab. Just a pinch of it made a world of difference in the pastry. You could smell it. Thank you. Definitely recommend.

Stale - No Mahaleb Smell or Taste
I don't know what is going on with mahaleb (also spelled mahleb) right now (April 2025) but no one seems to currently have fresh mahaleb. Two of my usual sources did not have it. One other I purchased was stale, and now this one is also stale. There are no dates provided on these products so one never knows how fresh they are when received. I tried to use this one hoping that maybe when baked into the bread some of the flavor would still be there. I actually doubled the amount I would normally use and yet there is almost no mahaleb flavor in the bread I made. Very disappointed in the current product being sent to customers.
