These trekking poles have hauled me all over the White Mountain National Forest and back. I love hiking with these so much I can't go hiking without them anymore. My wife and son have also used them and they also love them. I'm going to say right up front that at the time I purchased these, the price for a pair was under $30..... so my review is based on these poles at around that price. I have watched the price go up and down, like so many other items here on desertcart. Personally, I wouldn't recommend any aluminum trekking pole if the price were way above 30ish dollars. So, lets go over a few pros and cons...... Pro: Great value for the price I've had excellent service from the seller (5 star service!) Light weight Great cork grips Great shape @ the top of the handle... fits your palm well As rugged as you are going to get from aluminum poles Very compact Easily adjusted Come with different feet and baskets for every terrain Cons: Not rugged enough for unusually rough terrain Had a chunk of cork fall out of the grip So, I've included a couple pictures of the two times I have bent a trekking pole in a fall. The pic with the broken pole was from me attempting to straighten the pole enough to finish my hike.... not the pole's fault. Both bent poles happened in a fall on a steep decent in the most unforgiving mountain terrain in the northeast united states. Lets face it, they are great poles but not going to withstand everything the world can throw at them. In each case, I was putting all my weight into the one pole that was firmly planted in the ground while I fell. Add in the momentum of me going down and well..... that is what you get. In the second fall, the pole greatly reduced my fall and turned it into a 'slow motion' event.... probably saving me from some bumps and bruises. The pole totally did it's job ! Both times the seller sent replacement parts to repair the pole at no charge. Overall, I highly recoomend these poles to anyone. Review: For the price you cannot find a better trekking pole - Did my first hike with these trekking poles a day after I bought them. An 8 mile hike at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. For the price you cannot find a better trekking pole. The cork handles are of good quality and the foam grips just below, make it easy for quick grip adjustments without having to adjust the length of the pole constantly for various terrain. The poles did not slip under the weight of my 250 pound body. The rubber monster tips stay firm to the trekking pole and did not slip off, though often getting hung up between rocks. I do not use the tungsten tips as, I have found out here in the desert they never last to long on hiking poles. These poles handled my ascent and descent without any problems and felt very stable. The only downside is, I would have liked the hand straps to have a little more cushion. But that is a minor complaint. The price dropped $5 a day or two after I bought them so be sure to check the price as it will fluctuate. A well made trekking pole that I think is well worth the money spent.

For the price you cannot find a better trekking pole
Did my first hike with these trekking poles a day after I bought them. An 8 mile hike at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. For the price you cannot find a better trekking pole. Good quality trekking poles
Been using these poles for the past 6 month, mainly on day hikes while carrying my toddler in her papoose on my back so these poles often pull both of us up. I have had no problems and find them to be good quality. Also find the cork grips very comfortable. The only slight negative for me is the flip locks - they have been totally secure (no slipping ever) but because they stick out a bit, they get caught on the thick grass and bushes that often grow next to the path, so not ideal for South African trails which tend to be very narrow. In this regard I preferred the twist locks on my old Masters poles. But overall very happy with the quality and price and would recommend them

Solid poles
I ordered these poles for a week long hunting trip. Now that I am back from this trip I can say that these poles are solid. On this trip I hiked approximately 30 miles up and down the most rugged terrain AZ has to offer. We were not on trails but bushwhacking through steep hillsides and ravines. Several times these poles had most of my weight on them and they had zero flex to them. The locking mechanisms are superior to the "twist lock design", never once did I have a concern of them failing. The only accessory that I used were the mud cups, they worked as intended. I was coming down a hill with my buddy, he had to stow his poles because his were sinking in the soft wet dirt. Mine on the other hand would sink right up to the mud cups then stop. Leaving me with a secure grip on the ground. A plus, the plastic covers for the tips stayed on the entire time. I have never seen a pole with those that last more than 5 miles. The only thing is that they are not very lightweight but again they are heavy duty and solid. If you want this kind of ruggedness and durability along with lightweight you are going to have to pay 3 times as much. But, if you are on a budget and want high quality reliable poles with lots of accessories and options then stop looking and buy these.

Amazing sticks! Helps me a ton with a bad leg/back!
--Pros & Cons by Acid-- Pros::. Very light weight! They look great! Came with multiple feet to tackle different types of terrains! The cork handle feels great, the first time I used them I felt a little warmth from them but since then it's been fine and always felt good and cool. The straps are high quality and nice and thick. I've never had these sticks collaps on me, not once. You do have to be careful when tightening plastic and metal pieces down because one tightening to far and you'll strip the plastic piece, so simply be careful! Always remember your sticks should be adjusted with your elbow against your side, hold hand straight so your arm is in a 90' angle. Adjust the sticks equally to this height and you'll experience maximum performance out of these sticks! Even my daughter was able to use these sticks correctly with them fully collapsed, so that's awesome! Cons::. Wish I had a second pair! Possibly a pair that came in women's color sets so the wife could have a fancy set like this one! Overall::. I would buy this again! I have a very bad back and left leg and being able to climb a few thousand feet with the help of these sticks is just amazing. Really takes the strain off my leg and I can appreciate that! So buy these and check em out if you really want some nice light weight sticks to start your Trekking career off right!

Handle Separated from Pole
We purchased two pairs of these hiking poles to hike in the CA Sierra Nevada mountain range. After hiking about 10 miles, the cork handle in one pair separated completely from the pole so that it slid loosely up and down the pole; the other cork handle in the pair separated slightly revealing a gap between the top of the cork and the the plastic end of the pole. After returning from our trip, we contacted the seller, who told us some of the poles were manufactured with insufficient contact cement between the handle and pole. The representative asked us to apply contact cement to see if that would fix the problem. We purchased contact cement and followed the seller's instructions. However, we are planning a 65 mile hike in Sawtooth Mountain Range, Idaho, and we are concerned the poles may come apart on the trail. Also, where the wrist strap attaches to the pole is a loose end that gets in the way like a pesky tail you don't know what to do with. Other than the handle and strap issues, the poles are sturdy, securely locking and comfortable. The seller promptly responded to our email.

Great design, light weight, stylish
I am new to hiking/backpacking so I don't have anything to compare these trekking poles to, but they seem great! They have a very nice design with vibrant colors (I chose pink and my boyfriend bought the blue). I didn't think we would need walking sticks (was being prideful) but after practicing on some trails and for a marathon, my joints could use some support. I haven't used them yet (hiking to Havasupai in a couple weeks), but I made sure everything was in working order and tested them out around the house. I really like the flip locking system, they stay secure and they are quick and easy to adjust to the length you want them. I am 4'11 and have very small hands so I was worried about the grips not fitting well in my hand, but they are very comfortable and the cork is light weight and feels nice. The "monster grip tip" and the hard surfaces tips are made of rubber (I think) and are strong and sturdy. I read other reviews of plastic tips that broke immediately so I feel comfortable that these tips will hold up in the rocky terrain of the Arizona desert. I can't wait to use them!

These are the best Hiking Poles Around!
I love these hiking poles! I ordered them 2 years ago and am finally writing a review. I use them on all types of trails and they are wonderful. I use the monster tips as they work best on the trail. They come with a variety of tips and the insert shows you what each tip does. See image. They collapse to fit in a nice carry bag if you need it. Some reviewers mentioned them collapsing. If you make sure you don't tighten the screw too tight or too lose - once you get it just right so the tension is good to lock them they should stay in place. I think some try to screw it too tight. I like the height markers that help you adjust them but some of mine have worn out due to 2 years of use but I just keep them set now. They also have wrist straps that are sturdy. I have ordered sets for 3 of my relatives and they all love them! One set came without all of the tips but I have contacted the company and hope to hear back soon. The rest are fine!
