This was an excellent gift for my son, I have given it to him because of the nostalgia it gave me to know that he can play the same games as me when I was a child. This device is really amazing, it brings emulators from many retro consoles and they work wonderfully, it brings its own micro sd card with all the games included. My favorite has been the PlayStation one since it was my first video game. It has an excellent resolution and the device in general feels of very good quality, the battery lasts the approximately 8 hours it promises. The truth is that I couldn't be happier with this video game, I have shared quality time with my son thanks to this and he also loved his gift.

Already includes some retro games, you can add more trough using the provided micro as card, screen has good quality and brightness, easy to adjust brightness , volume dedicated buttons, included usb c charger, battery can last up to around 5-6 hours of playtime depending on screen brightness, can play multiple emulators,

As a video game-obsessed teen in the 90s, I never would've imagined convenience like this. I remember downloading MAME ROMs in the late 90s to try and play Metal Slug/etc on the family computer, awkwardly, using the keyboard to map out joystick controllers. Fast forward a few decades and now we have all of the games we grew up on (and thousands more) in our pockets on this nifty little device. This anbernic console is an absolute joy, and it's ready to go as soon as you open it with a bunch of games preloaded, unlike other devices where you need to install a custom OS, aquire individual ROM files, etc. I am so thrilled with this purchase. I'm also entertained seeing it spread like wildfire... I've sent photos of me using it on a plane to a few friends, with Mega Man on the screen, and a few of them immediately purchased their own.

Love this little device, it has all the old games I remember from when I was a kid. I plan to put even more games on it

I've seen systems like this for the last few years and honestly thought they were probably too good to be true for the price that you pay. I was so wrong. The build quality is quite good. The controls themselves feel excellent for the size of the device. The screen is bright and crisp with vibrant accurate colors. The battery life is sufficient, I can't give you runtimes because they can vary quite a bit depending on the system you're emulating, screen brightness, and wifi/bluetooth use. The included Anbernic firmware works well enough, but if you really want to see what this device has to offer, I would recommend checking out the 3rd party firmware Knulli. One thing that isn't highlighted enough on the product page is the ability to plug this in to a tv (have to buy a cable) and bluetooth a few controllers to it to play multiplayer on a normal screen. My order came in a little over a week ago and I've probably already clocked over 20 hours of game time. I honestly wasn't expecting to love this device so much and had intended to mostly use it on road trips and in waiting rooms. If you're looking for a great handheld retro gaming experience that won't break the bank, then look no further. I have to warn you though...now that I've purchased this one I've found myself scoping out other Anbernic devices. I'm debating on purchasing one of the vertical GameBoy style models to go with it.

Stuck at login screen after about 6 mo. The SD card goes bad. Known issue that will require you to buy new SD card, flash new OS, download games, and redo. Not worth my time. Lasted 6mo before bricked with minimal usage.

$80 is too much for this handheld. It does a pretty good job with old retro games such as NES, SNES, Sega Genesis but I strongly dislike the UI system for this. I also didn't like the knobs and the L/R buttons are not very well lined up.
