I have used this a few times now on tomahawk steaks and large cuts of beef.I use a small smoke box that site over gas burner, with the meat on the indirect side of the bbq.The first time I did it I kept refilling the smokebox every time the smoke stopped (3 times over a 90 mins smoke), the meat tasted amazing, but on the latter times I have only used one lot of chips and the flavour was still amazing but less intense.I don't think adding too much is a bad thing, but I think it does get to the point where the meat just doesn't take in any more flavour, but play around with it.

Brisket never tasted so good.
I have used many types of bbq but have been using a gas burner for some time.my one complaint was the lack of smoky flavours when slow cooking cuts of beef and pork, but this is no longer the caseI use a 'charcoal companion' chip holder than sits between the grills, and soak the chips in beer/wine/water depending on the meat, and the flavours created are brilliant. it gives a purist taste with the convenience and control of gas.

Amazing BBQ addition
This was the last pack in the warehouse and very cheap so thanks Amazon for supplying this during these times. If you have a BBQ a few wood chips give whatever your cooking amazing flavour.I just add a few to my lumpwood once it's at the right hear and the wood chips smoke goes into my food.

Nice strong smoke flavour.
Nice big bag of wood chips or various sizes that produce a nice strong smoke flavour to your foods.I used on some cumberland sausages in my BBQ kettle, I soaked the chips overnight in water and a little whiskey and popped a few chips on my hot coals as my sausages were cooking putting on the lid to trap the smoke.After 20 mins the sausages took on a Smokey colour and I then put them over the hot coals to finish grilling them.A little of these chips go a long way and the end result was a delicious strong Smokey charcoal flavour.

Lovely sweet smoke and ideal for smoking food. Stronger smoke than Hickory or Apple so best suited to meats.

Its not as smoking hot as I thought..
This is the first wood chip I used, but I am not entirely satisfied with it. In my opinion it does not give the meat a smoky enough taste. I used it on chicken for almost an hour but there was very minimal taste on the meet if any at all. The second time I used I didn't cooked the meet too long maybe around 20 minutes but again no much smoky flavor. Maybe I need to put in more chips to the box. I will update my post if I manage to reach the desired smoky taste on my grills.

Great usa substitute
Love this product, I'm from the USA and we use this a lot their. Unfortunately it's hard to cone by in the UK. But this is a close grade to the USA version that we use to smoke food. I'm starting a food truck , USA smoke style......I will be using this as it's the best one iv tested so far

Oh My Were Smokin and BBQ
I have made homemade some homemade corned beef in the past and this time I wanted to go further and turn my corned beef into pastrami. I smoked the corned beef in my smoker with the mesquite chips after soaking them for an hour in water and placing the chips on an old metal pie plate over the hot coals. I was very impressed with the out come 4 hrs later. The smells were just mouth watering. I removed the now converted corned beef to pastrami that was heavily rubbed with spices and pepper before smoking. Mmmmm it is smelling so fine.Couldn't wait to try a slice. It is just mouth watering and and almost fall apart meat.This smoke chip is so great on burgers also, or even just a roast of beef.Will be using this one a lot more.
