So here are my favorite features: 1. Great price in this category. 2. Effective at mowing. 3. Battery life is good; capable of doing at least the 1,000 sq ft that the mfr claims. 4. Super quiet.Least favorite features: 1. Mows with a Roomba-style random pattern. Goes til it finds and obstacle, then reorients itself (randomly?) and continues in another direction. 2. Could do better at obstacle detection. It has "run away" between shrubs and into woods that it should have stopped for. Also will nudge an obstacle and sometimes push its way through. Needs a solid obstacle in order to stay within the desired bounds. 3. Kind of slow, but that's not a big deal since it runs on its own.Would I recommend it? YES. Especially for a hilly or uneven lawn that other robo mowers (like my much more expensive Segway) can't climb. The LawnMaster has a LOT of torque on its drive wheels, and climbs over pretty much anything it needs to. Got stuck when it went off-lawn and once when a drain cover caused the wheels to ride up off the ground. Otherwise, it's a monster for getting around. Cutting is pretty good, but of course limited by the semi-random travel pattern. It's a random pattern of straight lines across your lawn.It would have been nice to have a battery that charges IN the mower, vs. taking battery out of the mower, putting it in a charger, then replacing it in the mower when it's charged. But that's not the biggest deal, and it's made up for by the darn good price. I'd give this machine a try. I'm using it alongside a Segway, which has lots of bells and whistles but can't climb the portion of my lawn where I need more power on the drive wheels to get up the hill. No auto programming, no auto return, no mapping of the lawn to make an efficient set of passes over the grass. But it's under $500, so not much reason to skip it.

Works as described; only used it for about a week; long lasting battery; easy to use magnetic strips; almost no changes made to the yard; the only cons: in several spots slided backwards rather easy even on grass with morning dew, but it was easy to correct with a small magnetic strip

The good: Well built, good instructions. Worked fine on the small patch of Bermuda in the front. Respected the boundary edging strips.The Bad: Would hardly roll on the centipede in the back. No hills. I cut the lawn down to 2" with my push mower. Full charge on the battery. Followed the start up guide. Set the cut height to 2.5", the machine would barely roll. When it did get traction it would only go about 10' before it would start to hunt( back and forward, constant turning.

I’ve only had this thing for about a week and a half, and I couldn’t be happier. I was skeptical at first because the blades don’t look very heavy duty, but now I understand why. This thing is meant to maintain, not do any kind of heavy mowing.The part of my back yard that this is assigned to is nearly 6,000 square feet; I measured it with a measuring wheel, and it is heavily sloped and pretty bumpy due to the fact that the builder (DR Horton) is garbage. All of the warnings about needing a flat even yard had me extremely skeptical about this experiment. Also, I bought the one with two batteries thinking I’d have to rotate it around the yard in zones, but that hasn’t been necessary.Last week, we had record breaking storms here in North Texas. It rained sideways for several days, we had hail storms and tornadoes. My back yard got all the rain it would have needed for the year in about a week. So, I expected my weeds to shoot up overnight. But, as soon as there was no more standing water in the low spots, I put this mower out there. Because of the size of the yard, I’m running it almost everyday.I cannot express to you how happy I am with this mower. No setup required, which was important to me. I just set it in the yard and turned it loose. It takes the hill like a champ. However, I did experiment in my front yard a little, and the hill there is a little steeper, and it tipped it over. So your hill has to be a nice gentle, not too steep, incline. Of course it works better when it’s dry because it will slip a little in the dew or after a light rain. It has no problem navigating my bumpy yard. I’ll never have to mow this massive yard again. Each battery lasts far longer than the 3 hours specified. I love this thing and won’t go without a robomower ever again. My wife named our Moweesha Mowmowa, and she’s quickly become a beloved family member. I was even inspired to pull out my old Roomba 960, Mr. Carson, that was out of commission and give it a tune up, so now we’ve got robots inside and outside.Don’t hesitate, buy this thing.

It's been over a year since I bought this and wow. I can't tell you how much of a help this little robot has been. I absolutely love just turning it on in the backyard, coming back inside, and letting it cut the grass till the battery runs out. It's saved me so much time and is such a work horse. I highly recommend buying an extra battery especially if you have a larger yard. It does not connect to your phone or cut in a pattern, but that's something I actually like about this robot. No set up, you can use it straight out of the box and it will get right to work! Highly recommend this lawn mower!

I like the true set and forget feature. Easy to assemble as you put the battery in, put it on the grass and press start. Battery lasts long, and seems durable. The object detection also works well. However, even after 4 hours of cutting, it still had missed a lot of spots on my small yard. I tried it several days, and same results. Because of the random nature of the mower it would always miss a spot.I ended up going with a Segway Navimow instead. May work for you if you don’t mind a few missed spots.

Slow, has a random pattern that leaves the yard patchy, looks like a drinking teenager mowed the lawn. The provided no go strips are to small for a front yard.With that said, I will buy another one later, but will get a higher quality one. This worked as proof of concept.
