Hydrapak Elite 1.5L Reservoir

This 1.5 Liter reservoir is a soft sided insert that you fill with water and then slide into an appropriate backpack. I found that it was easy to manage, being a smaller size than the 2L & 3L bladders I have used in the past.I originally oriented the hose to feed out the bottom of the pack, under my right arm. This orientation is awkward due to the upward facing valve on the bottom of the bladder. I have since reoriented so the hose feeds out the top of the pack, and over my right shoulder, which is just as acceptable, but if your pack doesn't allow feeding from the top, this is something that you might want to be aware of. It will still function, but you want to be careful that you don't kink the tubing while orienting your hose from the bottom.I really enjoy the magnetic clip that comes supplied with the bladder - the keeps the hose from bouncing around on the chest and hitting you when you run. I had no difficulty attaching the magnetic housing to the hose near the mouthpiece, nor finding a place to attach the holder to the chest of my pack.The bite valve is soft and easy to use. The pack doesn't have an offensive taste, even on first use. It was very simple to remove from the pack, determine how much I had drank (using the graduated markings on the pack), and clean. It dried really quickly, thanks to being able to completely open up on the top end.Overall, this is a wonderful accessory for your hydration pack. I would definitely purchase another if the need were to arise.

I really like the slide top closure bladders better than the screw top (like Camelbak). They are easier to open, fill completely, clean and close and I suspect lighter but haven't checked.This is my second or third Hydrapak bladder I've purchased. Not because the others failed but because I needed them for other packs where the OE bladder failed. My wife has a camelbak and has a really hard time opening it. Filling the camelbak is inconvenient/awkward compared to the easy slide open of the Hydrapak.To elaborate... the screw top bladders need to be held at an angle while filling and then they don't fill completely unless laid flat. Then screwing on the lid usually results in some spillage. With the slide top it fills all the way and closes easily without any spillage with a simple fold and slide. With a bit of practice it can be filled without removing the bladder from some packs.I prefer the keep it simple solutions so really prefer the slide top. I'm a bit skeptical of the quick disconnect hose but it has worked without problem on several bladders so far.

I've always been a bit leery about buying a hydration reservoir because of how difficult they are to clean, but this one is completely reversible so it doesn't have that issue. Hydration bladders are a pretty cool idea, this iteration of it is the perfected version I think. This particular model is a bit small, probably aimed more towards runners than backpackers/hikers, but its offered in different sizes as well. If you're kind of stuck between choosing this bladder or a different one, go with this one. You won't be sorry.

I don't even know what to say. This is a great upgrade from my last reservoir. SO. NICE. The bite valve is comfortable and doesn't require much of a pull when drinking. It's reversible and dishwasher safe which is a miracle. The tube detaches and doesn't leak. It's easy to open, fill, and close. Honestly it's the best reservoir I could ask for. If you're on the fence, just buy it. You won't regret it.

Bought it in 2015 and use it sparingly during the year--maybe 10-12 times per year for longer training runs and a couple of ultras plus my son uses it for a week of mountain biking every summer.Last year, the connection point from the bladder to the hose stopped connecting easily. For the past year, I've had to wrestle the hose in to get it to seal properly in the bladder valve. Then, today (after not using it for 3 months), I broke it out for a long training run and the mouthpiece basically dripped water on me for 3 hrs.I get that these things don't last forever...but this one started failing pretty quickly.

Got this to replace a busted original bladder because I really like my original pack and straps. I have always liked the fold over design, makes it much easier to fill and clean, and the quick connect hose is great. I use it a lot for both mountain biking and trail running, and have been thru several hoses, but this is the first new bladder I have had to purchase. I really like the Hydrapak design and have been very happy with mine over the years.

Works great but what I really love about Hydrapak is that they stand behind their product. I had an issue where one that I had been using for over a year sprung a leak. I sent them a picture and filled out the warranty form and they shipped me a brand new bladder free of charge. They cost a little more than some of their competitors but they are well worth it in my mind.

Love this replacement reservoir! I have an ancient CamelBak that I refuse to part with because it fits perfect but have always hated the big mouth resevoir - cannot tell you how many times it has leaked (even the replacements). This baby has breathed new life into my old stand-by!!

A very good hydro-pack, small size good for a day out on the mountain bike, and lightweight for fast moving activities such as running. cleaning is easy, attachment can be done/undone very quickly. Magnetic attachment is bonus if yuo dont have a dedicated sleeve on your bag pack.The seal on to p of the pack is superb, as I have found out in my snow-boarding trip. I fell quite hard on my back whilst trying a snow park....fearing it might have burst, but I was wrong, not a single drip was found. purchased when it was £18.99. very happy : )

Pretty happy with this. Super easy to fill and clean. Very durable material and no leaks. But very strong plastic taste on first uses.
