This would be a normal size. When it says micro then it's the smaller one.

If you buy it from Cloud nine the American distributer it needs no adapterSome also are sold in the UK but you will be able to tell that by there shipping address and the cost will be in British pounds or euros.

Yes, mine plugs upside down. Seems not to effect the iron. It works better than any flat iron I have used.
