Excellent.
Plenty of line, good swivel and ready loop to attach DSMB. Very good quality and price.

Very vibrant flat line string - 30m spool orange
The media could not be loaded. Taut and strong lumions orange flat line string. Spool is easy to handle, smooth and unwinds with ease, with it overall being quite lightweight. The double ended SS bolt snap is very handle for quick attachment.

Check the end - the knot may not be secure
Cressi make good diving equipment especially masks, snorkels and wetsuits. This particular product falls short of my expectations.Unless you're planning lots of shallow dives the line on this spool is too short at 15m for use with an SMB or DSMB. Even shallow dives you're better off with a 30m spool as that leaves you plenty of options. My main interest was actually for use as a jump line for cave and wreck penetration. The picture in the listing makes the item appear larger than it is. Whilst the I personally don't advocate putting your finger in the middle of the spool (hold the centre lightly with finger and thumb or cup your hand over the top of the reel allowing the line to run between your middle and ring finger) the hole isn't large enough anyway for UK waters in the winter and early parts of the year when many have 5mm gloves or dry gloves. I think you can get away with it if you use 2mm or 3mm gloves so this was clearly intended for warm climes. The boltsnap itself is one of the smaller ones and from experience they are fiddly when you have gloves on. It does appear to be of good quality although it's impossible to tell if it's 316/316L grade steel.I unrolled the line and the first thing I noticed was that the line is rather thin and flat which might be an issue with using line cookies. The next issue was that the knot used to secure the line to the reel was not a locking knot and so a short tug on the line released it from the spool. This would have been a huge problem for someone using it with an SMB encountering strong current or an obstacle. The last item that I don't like about the line is the loop on the end - it just looks unprofessional, like it was added as an afterthought. Usually the diver makes their own loop. Here you introduce another five points of potential failure versus just one. It also makes the line heavy. The spool is not made of aluminium, which is a good point as you want it to be as close to neutral bouyancy as possible in the event of accidentally letting go/dropping it.Unfortunately there's too many issues with this for me to use on a dive.

Plastic spool - not aluminium.
The spool is made from plastic not aluminium as stated in the description.

Not premium, but with a premium price
I have used a lot of Cressi products over the years, but this is the first one I am disappointed with. The two reasons are the pricing and the build quality. Firstly, it is made of plastic, despite being labelled as aluminium. Maybe there is a tiny hidden bit of aluminium inside, but it would be so thin that it would give no strength benefit over the plastic. It’s very poor that they would get this wrong.Secondly, for the price I would expect a metal reel. Admittedly it’s probably not required for any practical reason, but it would certainly give the feel of a more premium product. I would also expect top-quality cable, which this is not. Everything about this is decent, but not premium, and the £24.99 RRP is far too high. Even for the current price of £20 it’s too high. This is a £12-£15 product at the very most.In terms of use it works great, nice and wide and easy to handle, although I would recommend the 15m version as 30m is a lot.Overall I can say this is an overpriced product, but one which functions well.

Useful safety line
This finger spool looks like it may be a handy safety line for my dives while on holiday next month. One aspect I like about this product is its compact design, which makes it easy to carry and use underwater. The included 15m cable provides sufficient length for various diving activities, allowing me to deploy and retrieve it with ease. Additionally, the stainless steel carabiner adds convenience for attaching the spool to my diving gear, ensuring that it remains secure during dives.Furthermore, the stainless steel bolt snap is a valuable feature that enhances the overall security of the spool. It provides an extra layer of protection against accidental detachment, giving me peace of mind while exploring underwater environments. However, one issue may be the spool's compact size may make it challenging to handle, especially with thick gloves or in rough underwater conditions. In summary, this finger spool offers convenience and security for divers seeking a compact safety line for underwater exploration.

Durable and well built
I recently added the Finger Spool with SS Bolt Snap to my diving gear, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of equipment. This technical finger coil comes complete with cable and clip carabiner, offering convenience and reliability for any dive. The black color gives it a sleek and professional look, while the stainless steel bolt snap ensures durability and security underwater. I appreciate the compact size of the finger spool, making it easy to carry with me on every dive.Whether I'm exploring underwater caves or conducting safety stops, this finger spool provides the perfect solution for deploying a surface marker buoy or completing other tasks. It's versatile, easy to use, and built to last, making it an essential addition to any diver's gear collection.Overall, I highly recommend the Black Finger Spool with SS Bolt Snap to divers of all levels. Its reliability, convenience, and durability make it a must-have for safe and enjoyable dives.
