FabrianoVenezia Drawing Book, 9" x 12", Beige

The quality of thus journal is excellent - not only is it a beautiful cover, but the thick pages, which take paint, markers, and pen without bleeding make it worth every penny. I first discovered these journals years ago, and have not strayed. I use them for my daily visual/art journal, and am actually on my 40th one! Needless to say, I highly recommend.

This paper is wonderful, takes watercolor washes well with no buckling, and have tested with pen & ink and with fountain pen - these also work great with no bleed through at all. The texture is perfect with just slight tooth, and the cover is very sturdy. Overall very pleased with this sketchbook.

I love everything about this including the size, the nice white smooth paper and the hard decorative cover. I would definitely recommend this and it's a good find for the price. I will buy this sketchbook again

I bought this sketchbook after I saw one of my favorite artists (Helen Wells) use and recommend it. It's 200 gsm paper, and so very versatile! I've used Sharpies, watercolor (with lots of water), alcohol markers, and colored pencils with absolutely no issue. It has a slight tooth, which makes it take water really nicely with minimal warping, especially if you clip the pages you're working on first.The 9"x12" size is really perfect, though I might be the anomaly there - I usually find smaller sketchbooks more intimidating to work with, and prefer larger sizes. I did buy the 6"x9" version of this book, but was disappointed to find that it did not lie flat like this one does.I have bought a few Venezia sketchbooks and definitely plan on buying more!

I use these as art journals - diaries. I like the quality of the pages. I use ink pencils, non-alcohol markers, light watercolors and acrylics as well as colored pencils.I've even mod podged over them. I enjoy adding the art to my writings, and Fabriano is one of my favorites so far. I got the larger one this past time. Have used the medium size too. I like them both for my purpose.

Nicely made book, but description is a bit misleading—it is not what I would call watercolor paper at only 90 lb/200 gsm. Still, it’s Fabriano—just don’t expect to use a lot of wet media on it.

Thus far this has been the best book available allowing my daughter to use the widest variety of media without ill effects of bleed etc.. For example, she sketches and water colors, inks including Sumi with no bleed. She also, states that the texture is very good.

I don't get why it says that. But anyway the paper is awesome.

Great size and a stitched binding that lays flat offering up a larger spread

Utilisation pour aquarelle, le papier tient bien et ça recto-verso. Le rendu des couleurs donne bien. Un des meilleur carnet que j'ai pu avoir.

Personalmente ci utilizzo perlopiù pastelli morbidi ma credo sia ottimo per molte tecniche. Magari il prezzo è un po altino ma è molto buono, le pagine sono spesse e riesco ad utilizzare entrambe le facciate delle pagine.

Paper nice and thick. Not ideal for scanning as it's too thick to get the centre. Otherwise perfect
