JURASSIC WORLD THRASH 'N THROW TYRANNOSAURUS REX Figure

Following up on the headline, yes this Rexy toy is one of the best. It can roar, it has a lot of mobility with its neck, and tail, and the build is very good and matches each other rather than sticking out like the hasbro Jurassic World toys. This is also a big toy so if you are a parent buying for your children and worried you didn't purchase the Colossal T-rex DO NOT WORRY because this toy is already pretty big. Just for comparison in the photo is the Mattel Indoraptor which itself is a big toy and an average sized stationary lion that is big in any child's hands. As an adult I have this Rex mainly for display but I will admit playing with this Rex and reenacting scenes from the movies along with other dinosaur toys. The scale is what impresses me as it aligns with other dinosaurs nicely. Also this is a very accurate to the movie figure, no screw wholes or obvious marks, the skin tone is even, and the look is accurate to Rexy the Tyrannosaurus.

This Thrash and Throw Tyrannosaurus rex toy is really cool. There is only one problem, and it is that it is not too steady on its feet,\. One can position the feet in just a way to keep it from falling over. This toy comes with a lot of loud T-Rex sounds. You have to hold the feet down to pick up other small dinosaurs or human figures. Overall, this T-Rex toy is one you must not overlook.

So you're probably wondering which TREX from the JW:FK toyline, you should consider purchasing. First of all if you can find the Colossal TREX at $54.99 buy it! It's worth the 3ft space it will occupy. Now if you're considering a tight space, and/or budget and you want to add a TREX to your collection, then I suggest the Thrash 'n Throw version. As far as articulation the trex has 360 arm rotation, and ankle rotation. Of course you're mainly buying it for its thrash 'n throw features as well as its thunderous roar and footstomp sound effects. You thrash around by shifting the tail left and right, you can have it "rawr" by pulling the tail down, you can thrash and roar by pulling down and shifting left and right, also, you need your other hand to support the trex. By pulling the tail upward, the trex will do a massive chomp.Most likely you'll feel like a kid again if you have your TREX chomp on Owen and thrash him, haha!To recap there's the Colossal, Thrash 'N Throw, and Breakout version ( where Rexy's Tongue pokes out, this may be a Target exclusive as part of the "Legacy Collection"). There's going to be a Spinosaurus version that has similar tongue action to the breakout Trex. Either way have fun :) peace!*UPDATE*There's also the exclusive Walmart Roaring Colossal variant ( this one makes sound and has battle damage ), and Battle Damage Breakout variant ( Trex tongue sticks out and comes with a Battle Damage Monolophosaurus ). It's a cool toy. While I miss the old school Jurassic Park toys, this is a fine toy on its own right. It makes noise, which, to be honest, I'm not a fan of, but has a nice novelty to it. I was extremely happy to find that I could shove Force Link Rose Ticos down its throat. While I am uncertain wheather or not I should be shoving Rose Ticos down its throat, I'm sure Rose wouldn't mind being eaten by a T-rex. 😄Image size comparison between this and Force Link Rose Tico.

The Mattel line of JW toys is innovative and well detailed. This is the rex that makes noise and is to scale with the other toys. There is fine detail and the head seems spot on. In certain light it looks marvelous. Playing with this rexs' functions by moving its tail and pressing buttons on its feet. It looks animated and the movements follow the movies. What this rex has going for it is articulation. Something the older Rex's lacked. Feet and legs can all be moved, body sways back and forth, head moves, and ofcourse. The price of $32 seems reasonable, considering the 93 rex was $30 and that figure today would be over $50. So there's got to be a downside on a toy this complicated. For one thing the body is broken up for movement. Though no screws are visible unlike the 15 hasbro rex, it is noticeable but easily forgotten when it starts moving. The other issue is the amount of broken units. If yours does not work 100% return it for another. Mine came working perfect but I believe other reviewers who have had issues. Durability can be an issue as well given all the mechanisms are made of plastic. Comparing it to the red rex from 93 is interesting. This rex is hard plastic but can move its body. Both roar and stomp, but the rubber red rex can move its head anywhere. For movie accuracy this rex is better and can stand without using its tail. It is slightly smaller though. The new rex is a better toy to play with overall, if it can hold up. For $32 this is worth it. It's not perfect but is a great toy that kids will love and plays well with the other JW line of toys. Just make sure when you try yours that there is no rattling or clicks outside of the snap of the jaws. It is a welcome addition to the jurassic line and if it can hold up I will give it a fifth star.

This is a must have dinosaur but still much money but worth it.

The box it came in was huge so i expected a larger dino but it does exactly what it says its going to do. My 6 year old loves it!! It was delivered right before we went to go see the new Jurrasic World movie and he was soo excited he took it to the movies with us! It sat in the car and after 2 hours it held up to the southern heat. Overall my son is very happy and we are very pleased with this toy! But i will say we did have to go out and buy the mini dino collection so the T-Rex would have someone to chew on and destroy.

Lo compre con ciertos recelos, puestos había comentarios negativo y sería el regalo de reyes para mí sobrino, no obstante a diferencia del comentario negativo, a mí me llegó nuevo y sin problema alguno, incluso llegó antes de reyes.El dinosaurio es de buena calidad, para los cinco meses que lleva en manos de mi sobrino, el dinosaurio sigue como nuevo, no se ha roto y eso que mi sobrino es tosco con su dinosaurio, además de que se mueve y tiene sonido, además es grande y no pequeño,definitivamente lo volvería a comprar.Lo súper recomiendo.

My 3yo son saw this on a commercial and had to have it so we got it for him as an xmas gift. Good quality, looks and sounds good.
