This is my new favorite soil for succulents! I love this mix, it is aroid enough for succulents to thrive but also not too dry for them to die. This soil worked perfectly for getting my garden started indoors a little ahead of spring. We had sprouts of fresh flowers ready to transplant when the weather became viable.

I really like this soil! It doesn’t have a wetting agent in it so it allows the soil to dry out between watering which is great for my house plants, it’s easy to use and is cheaper than making your own chunky mix, will keep using this soil!

I bought this to replant a Venus Fly Trap. It works great and I also used it to grow another Venus fly trap from the original flower / seed.

I bought the tropical mix for my monstera deliciosa. It has wound up retaining a lot of water a keeping the soil very moist, which is nice but it claims it is a good soil for aroid plants and there’s no way. It isn’t NEAR chunky enough. In fact, I’m more than slightly concerned for my monstera. It claims it won’t compact, but as many others have mentioned, there seemed to have been quite a lot of dust in the bag, and very fine particulate (vs substrate) and I’m not sure how she will hold up.I also ordered the houseplant mix and didn’t really see a difference between it and the tropical mix.Pretty expensive and I think you can find better soil out there. I’ll update if my plant does poorly. But again, it isn’t the worst soil.Oh, afterthought- I put my alocasia in this soil and had to change it right out. It was way too compact and thin. I had to add 1 part perlite and 1 part orchid bark to this soil and the plant immediately stopped its self imposed annihilation. 😒
