I wanted to add a couple more butterfly valves to my conical, but I didn't want to spend a ton. These fit the bill nicely. I'm impressed with their heft and quality. The handles are polished and they seal well. They take a little more force to open, but I was more concerned with if they would hold. I haven't tried fermenting under pressure with them yet, but they are doing fine for the first brew.

Very nice quality. Works great. As good as anything from the big brands.

Overall, they are good for the money. Second time ordering them. They do work as advertised. For the money, they work fine in a craft brewery.

I ordered the 2" butterfly valves and 1.5" butterfly valves. They are solidly put together and look decent. However, they were not packaged as pictured in the product description. Mine came in dirty muslin cloth bags and were banged up a lot from shipping. The seal is effective, but you have to really muscle the handle to open it or close it. After it is open, it does have a fairly easy range of motion. It does the job, but I will spend the extra 10 or 15 bucks for the spike or ss brewtech ones with easier opening and closing in the future.

These valves look pretty on your system. But, they have a massive problem, that other reviewers have identified too. If you close them fully and leave them closed they are VERY difficult to open. To the point where they bent my kettle port with straining to open them — really they did. So my advice is don’t close them fully — which sounds strange, but true. My Blichmann & Spike Brewing valves are far superior — even if they don’t look as pretty.
