creative and captivating storyline
This was a really good read. It wasn’t your typical teacher/student story but it’s now one of my favorites. I’ve read it 10-12 times now and each time I find something I missed.

Mutual taboo student teacher romance
Student teacher romance with more angst and secrets all taking place in a private school in Nevada (Vegas)Remington is a girl living in Vegas from the wrong side of the tracks. She's smart, attractive and has been dealt a crappy hand in life. She lives with her dad who's never around and her step brother who's not so much her step brother anymore and kind of creepy. He has made Remi HIS and he thinks he owns her.But when Remi starts her new school her senior year, she's hoping this is her way out. She's always wanted to get away from "home" and become something. There she meets her debate teacher, Mr Pierce James and he's one hard teacher. He pushes his students and doesn't take any crap. And on day one, he sends his new student to the principal's office for her shoe wear. You're at a private school and you must act and dress accordingly, apparently. Both of the characters have secrets and things they are trying to hide from everyone around them. Unfortunately Remi can't do such a good job of one of her secrets. Her "brother". He's always around and trying to hurt Remi in any way he can. Although there is a love there that transcends his more evil ways. He's more emotionally abusive than anything, but when things start getting physical, that's when Mr James steps in. And he can't deny their chemistry."She's an innocent wrapped in a body made up of every sin I've ever wanted to commit. A good girl with bad intentions."Although I did enjoy the taboo story, I was hoping for more 'proof' of Remi's academic prowess. It was stated she got in to the private school with her top grades and I never got that from her. She seemed more to be the pretty girl that was there to entice men and push their buttons. Nothing wrong with that, just make the story go accordingly."I will misbehave until I break him."The story WAS taboo and it had characters that made the plot line work with twists and connections. But the love story was just that. Two broke souls looking to reach out and they connected. Pierce and Remi connected on another level. I didn't look at them as a student and teacher. There was something more visceral going on. Sometimes age doesn't matter and sometimes love isn't always black and white. THAT was this story. Secret, lies, and looking for answers to things you lost. Not perfect but the story worked for these characters."There is no right or wrong in this world. No black and white. Remington and I live in the gray area. Logic is pointless. Gut feeling is dangerous. The only way to know whether you did the right or wrong thing is to ride it out and see it to the end."

LOOOOOVED!!!!!
Before I begin my review, I'd like to say thank you to Charleigh Rose. I know everyone would love to have the chance to read your books before they come out, and I'm just happy I was one of the lucky ones! You ladies rock! So, I knew from the blurb I was going to love this book, but as mentioned above, I sort of had a pre-conceived notion that I would.Remi and James' story had everything! Their story together, as well as their individual stories.Once you get into it, you definitely see that Remi is not your average teenage girl. She was raised in a rough environment by her father and pseudo-brother, and everything was far from peaches and cream. Her dad was barely there, since he seemed to be working every hour of the day, and her "brother" Ryan was weirdly obsessed with her. What I loved most about her was the fact that even though she didn't have the best of upbringings, she did not let it define her. The girl was resilient, bad ass and she took no crap—from anybody. All it took was one encounter with the forbidden for her composure to crack. That leads us into all that is Pierce James—swoon for the name alone. Mr. James had to be one of the sexiest teachers I've read about. I mean, if he were my teacher, I definitely would've taken up debate. He had his own demons to bare and the last thing he should've been worried about was his hot as hell teenage student. But boy oh boy was he.After their first encounter the tension is palpable. As their story progresses, the back and forth banter was fun and kind of sexy. I loved that once Pierce admitted his feelings to not only himself, but also to Remi, things seemed to get hotter between them—didn't even know that was possible. And you can't help but root for them, because they overcome so much in their individual lives, that you want them to have everything together. They helped each other find each other, if that makes sense. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, they could have succumb to things going wrong in their lives, but they chose to beat the negative and find the positive, and it just so happen to be each other. This was a really fun story to read, because it's supposed to be seen as taboo. I just thought it was unbelievably hot. It had it's "what the F***!" moments, it's sad moments and it's overjoyed moments. Overall, I'd say this is a MUST read. So make sure to BUY THIS BOOK and let greatness happen to you!

Satisfactory
Unlike all the other age-gap romances I've read recently, this one is not abnormal in the sense that the teenager actually acts like a moody teenager and the adult acts like a sane, somewhat rational and composed adult as is expected of him. Though, he behaved like a lovesick fool towards the end but I didn't mind that so much. Another pro: the flow of the story was smooth and crucial parts were expertly done. The only con I could see was that the moments leading to the big collision were so intense that the collision itself felt like a big letdown. The frustration, the angst, the pining, the forbidden, all the holding back, so much build-up that the actual destination felt like a poor mockery of it.The three men in her life as she puts it are all untrustworthy and it's tragic that their bad almost outweighs their good. And that's the real struggle, to decide if they're redeemable in the end or not. The Dad is mostly an absentee, cares for and loves her but not enough to believe her over his son. The stepbrother loves her but not enough not to hurt her, physically or otherwise. Grew up taking care of her but also lies and cheats. The boyfriend also loves her but hides things from her. He was also dismissive and hateful towards her in the beginning. So, the lines here are seriously blurred and her stubbornness makes things only worse. To sum it all up, I'd say I'm not the least bit disappointed, little bit happy and a lot energized after a stress-free read.

All in all, an addictive forbidden/taboo read.
I adore all that Charleigh Rose writes. I find myself always addicted to the writing and reading the book within 24 hours, and this continued with Misbehaved.Warning: This is a forbidden romance between a 29 year old teacher and his 18 year old high school student. This book also involves drug use and consequences.Remington Springer has grown up in poverty Las Vegas. With a truckie dad who is never around and a mum that was lost before she could remember, it has always been her and her step-brother; Ryan. Ryan is 5 years older than her and has always had her back. He has been there from her first fall, to her first period, all the way to she lost her virginity. Ryan was always the good guy, until he wasn't. Remi has been feeling quite like Ryan keeps trying to step that boundary of more than step-siblings and more like, lovers. Remi isn't comfortable with this and the story opens up with Remi and how she is sick of her low life. Until an opportunity arises for her to attend West York private school.Pierce James has been lost for quite sometime. He grew up wealthy in Orange County, with parents who cared more about their reputation then their children. This caused for his sister to raise him, and he found himself following her when she adventured to Las Vegas. He got a job at the local private school as a debate teacher, even though his real profession was a lawyer. Unfortunately, his sister also falls into the wrong crowd leaving Pierce alone. Until he meets Remi, his student.Pierce & Remi were obviously two lost souls who were looking for their other half, and they found it in each other. Pierce did treat Remi with respect, but I also found him speaking down to her a lot like a child when newsflash, she is only 18. I would love to read more on their future and how they go while Remi is at college.

Forbidden love with secrets and lies
This is your typical forbidden romance book–where a girl from the wrong side of the tracks starts at an elite prep school. Her home life–and her step brother–are pretty awful, but she’s tough and strong, and actually quite sweet. When she meets her debate teacher, she seems to have met her match, and I loved their banter. Pierce James seems perfect–he’s handsome, a little grumpy, intelligent, rich. But then we learn that he has secrets of his own–ones that directly have to do with Remi.I really liked how a few seeming plot holes were actually clues toward twists later on in the book
