Satisfied 😁
The media could not be loaded. I’m satisfied with this refill kit. The price is reasonable compared to buying new pods, and the usage is quite simple once you get the hang of it. The design is solid, and the sealing lids work well to keep everything in place. I also like that I can reuse my coffee with less waste. Among the similar products I’ve tried, this one caused the least coffee leakage, which makes me even more pleased with the purchase.

Fabulous kit
This is a great kit, I am so glad I bought it! I made a mistake of buying a Nespresso Vertuo Pop machine without any research. I had no idea that the pods were not widely available and could only be purchased from Nespresso and not supermarkets for example. Then I came across this kit and decided to give it a go. I now stopped buying the original capsules all together and make my own ones up. I buy my own ground coffee and it takes only a few minutes to make up a batch of these ‘home made’ pods. I usually use the scales to weigh out the right amount of coffee and it works very well. The adhesive on the lids is pretty good. I was worried at the beginning that they wouldn’t stick so was sceptical about making up a few pods at the time as I thought the coffee would pour out and go all over my capsule jar, but I had no issues with lids coming off at all. I would definitely recommend this kit.

Tamping tool broken
Generally happy, easy to use and better than the previous kit I used. Unfortunately the scoop/tamper was broken when I opened it

Just so nicely designed
This is a really nicely designed kit for filling and reusing Nespresso vertuo pods. There’s a 2-piece holder for filling - the bottom half suspends the empty pod by the rim (so it works with different pod depths) then you place the top funnel half over. Spoon the coffee in, press very lightly with the flat tamp end of the scoop and you’re ready to lid. Simply take the funnel off, line a foil up against the curved guide on the back of the holder, tap into place lightly then put the funnel back on and press to seal.Takes longer to type than to do….I would seriously recommend this version with the funnel - a couple of times at the start I forgot to use the funnel and it’s really difficult not to spill over the pod rim. Also, the rim of the funnel is just the right distance into the pod to leave the tiny gap beneath the foil lid.Used my favourite Lavazzo Cremosa beans on a fine grind in a burr grinder (very slightly finer than for my manual espresso machine) and it makes a coffee far nicer than any of the sample pods which came with the machine. And much cheaper and more environmentally friendly than new pods. (The foils seem to be pure aluminium foil (with a thin line of glue round edge) rather than a plasticised foil like the originals on the pod, so can just put in recycling along with drinks cans / milk bottle foil lids).Haven’t had any issues with leaks, bursts or bypassing water - maybe just lucky with the grind & tamping force I tried; maybe some machines are more tolerant (we got the latissimo). Did have a couple of pods (both original and refilled) which I punctured but didn’t get coffee when learning the machine settings. The machine won’t run on an already punched pod but I just slipped another foil over the top and all was good.Suspect the original pods will have a limited number of re-uses as they are quite lightweight, but even if I get 10 or 20 goes on each that’s still a good saving of both money and resources.

Good
This works very well -once you get the hang of it! Once you've used it a few times, it's really easy, I've found it best not to completely fill the pods, just below the top is fine, and don't tamp the coffee down as it needs space for the water to circulate. I did find removing the original thick foil from the pods a bit tricky, but you don't need to be too fussy about leaving a bit around the edge, again, it gets easier once you get the hang of it, the new foil is very sticky so just ensure you press it down firmly over the edge, and it's simple to remove. I now just have 3 or 4 of each size I use regularly, it just takes seconds to refill them. I should save a fair bit of money using these.

OK, but a bit hit and miss tbh.
It’s OK, but a bit hit and miss to be honest, and a fiddly to put on as the foil sort curls a bit when you peel it off the sheet.. the first few re-filled pods went fine, then the next couple didn’t go so well, the foil ripped at the sides, but the one I did this morning worked ok. A couple of things to bare in mind, the crema is not as good , or as thick or lasts as long as the standard non refilled capsules, that will probably be due to the coffee and how it’s ground by Nespresso, so don’t expect yours to look like George Cloony’s cup of coffee after you have re-filled it. Also, the taste of your refilled capsule is always going to depend on the price and the quality of the coffee you buy, so if your going use Aldi Alcaff or any other supermarket brand, that is only going to give you a mediocre taste at best, so that won’t be the fault of using this refill kit your best spending more on a good brand of coffee, also, you may find specks of coffee coming through with your coffee. But you will obviously save quite a bit of money using these refill kits.

Excellent
Does exactly what we wanted it to do. No more expensive Nespresso pods, no more pods in landfill and we can finally use Illy or Lavazza. Less waste, lest cost and better coffee.

Amazing! Really happy with this purchase
Love my Virtuo Machine, but never really liked the coffee pods. Especially the fact that you can only buy them online! Was a bit hesitant to buy these because of the mixed reviews, but they're amazing! I can now have my favourite brand of coffee in the machine at a fraction of the cost.I did have a couple of failed attempts where the machine wouldn't start and another where it leaked coffee eveywhere, but I found that it was because the foil lids weren't on properly. You just need to make sure they're as centered as possible on the pod and make sure you fold down the edges of the lid.
