Good puzzle for my daughter

This is a very basic but well made puzzle set that will help your child develop their sense of patterns, colors and shapes. As soon as your child is old enough to start recognizing patterns, this gift will help encourage that characteristic to develop.

Before my daughters saw these puzzles I asked them to name the quintessential things that girls like. They said things like mermaids, unicorns, fancy dresses, princesses, pink, sparkles, glitter, rainbows, fairies, and magical fairy tales. Check, check, check, and check. Even Alice's tea party makes an appearance. For all that, these puzzles are going to have massive appeal to young girls.A word of caution with these puzzles- they are on the thinner side when it comes to wooden puzzles. They were a bit stiff and I manually took the puzzle apart the first time in part because I was worried the pieces might crack. But of course they didn't, and as we have done the puzzle a few times the pieces have begun to come together a lot more smoothly. Also, there is a laminated film on the front of these puzzles which is smooth and sturdy to the touch, but the back of the pieces, the working board (aside from the border), and the back of the puzzle are untreated, raw wood. For the price-point of these puzzles, that's par for the course, but don't be expecting anything fancy.I think my favorite thing about these puzzles are that you can easily change the level of difficulty. For tiny children doing their first jigsaw puzzle, the one-to-one matching will be a great way to guarantee their success while still giving them a good hand-eye coordination activity. The next level up would be to do the puzzle with the picture for reference, but not on the board for solving it. The next level would be to do it without the picture. My 12-year-old told me that if you wanted it to be harder, you could solve it without the board so you wouldn't know what size it was supposed to be. Then my 15-year-old had to prove there was an even harder level and did it upside-down. Maybe that's not useful to know, but they had fun doing it.I think the age suggestion for these puzzles is spot on- I'd recommend it for a 3-6 year-old who loves all the girly things. I picked this out for my niece for next Christmas and I think she'll love it.

My daughter really enjoys these wooden puzzles, she loves the scenes on this set. They are pretty well made, though I wish the picture was INSIDE the board rather than separate from the puzzle. Just another thing to keep track of and the pictures are easy to tear. But otherwise it’s a good set of puzzles for the price.

I think this set of six puzzles is great! Each colorful puzzle has its own theme. This set has the following puzzle themes: Princess with Prince Charming and Unicorns; Under the Sea; Storybook Characters; Fairies and Pixies; Ballroom Dancing; and Winter Ice Characters. Each puzzle comes in a protective shrink wrap upon first opening and the pieces are easy to remove and take apart.Each puzzle comes with its own wooden board/frame in which children will use to place the puzzle pieces on when assembling. I love this idea because you can actually build the puzzle while sitting on carpet rather than having to put it together on a cold, hard floor or on a tabletop. The wooden base/frame also keeps the puzzles intact until they are ready to be used again.Each puzzle comes with a colorful picture of what the finished product is to look like upon completion. This visual will help children if they get stuck and/or are having trouble locating a particular puzzle piece.What I really like is that after the puzzle is reassembled onto the wooden frame, the pieces do not easily fall off, even if the puzzle is turned over or upside down. I checked this out for myself several times. Because of this, it is less likely that the puzzle pieces will get lost. I think the box that they are packaged in is sturdy enough to store the puzzles inside so that you can keep them all together. This is another nice feature.The puzzle pieces themselves are actually very sturdy which is also helpful for little hands. However, the description and box states that they are suitable for 3 years old and up. In my opinion, I think 60 small size pieces of puzzle, like these, is much too difficult for a 3-year old. However, I do think that some 4 and 5-year old children, with adult supervision and help, will be able to put these together successfully. Other than that, I think it would take a 6-year old child or older to be able to successfully put these puzzles together independently.I do think this puzzle set is gift-worthy. Puzzles help children with spatial recognition, matching colors and shapes, identifying straight edges and irregular shapes, etc. Puzzles are great tools for developing young minds! I truly believe that you cannot go wrong with this set of puzzles whether it is for your own child, your grandchild, or given as a gift. I am very pleased with my selection!HAPPY SHOPPING!

I got these to do with my grandkids once they are a little older. The puzzles pieces seem to be of standard quality and are colorful. Nice puzzle set.

These puzzles are great! My daughter is 2.5 years old and cannot do the puzzles on her own but has fun with my help right now. We do the puzzles together and she gets excited and says, "I did it!" when she puts the puzzle piece for me in the right place. The quality of the puzzle pieces is great and thicker than the normal puzzle, which is a must for toddlers. I like the boards that it comes with and the picture cheat sheet of what the puzzle should look like when it's completed. We have been doing the puzzle on a table so that we have more room, but the boards included are also nice if you don't have a table space. The puzzles came individually wrapped, so you can separate them as gifts for separate kiddos. These would be great in a Easter basket too. The puzzles came exactly as described and the pictures on the puzzles are great for boys and girls.

This set of puzzle is great, but the piece are a little small for a 3 years old.They come fully assembled.As you can see on my picture, behind the pieces is the actual image of the puzzle. So it makes it really easy for kids to know what goes where.The frame are relatively thin and the puzzle pieces are made of pressed cardboard lile normal puzzles, not wood.They come individually wrapped so you're sure to have all your pieces, but the box fit the set just perfectly when all the puzzle are completed.I would have like to get a bigger box that offers storage options for when the puzzle are not completed. As it is now, I'll need to find a bin to store them otherwise mommy and daddy will have to do a lot of puzzle to put this away every day.Beside the lack of storage, the relatively thin frame and the small size of the pieces, this remains a great product.The price is on the high side for what it is, but you get 6 puzzles, making it around 6$/puzzle which is ok.
