El Chupacabras (Bilingual English-Spanish Edition): A Bilingual Tale of the Legendary Creature

The most well written bilingual book I’ve ever seen
As bilingual homeschoolers, we are always on the lookout for good Spanish and bilingual books, and so far, this is, hands down, the BEST. I loved the story, the story telling, and the illustrations. My kids love it, too. (Ages 2-7, IMO not too scary, at all.)

A terrific bilingual folktale.
Hilarious! The illustrations are the perfect companion to this wonderful addition to the many tales of El Chupacabra. I will enjoy reading this to my bilingual elementary age class.

well written with great illustrations
My 7yo son loves this book. (I buy him books pretty regularly and he's often indifferent to them.) He has read this one everyday since he got it. Summary: No death in this book. The goats just get flattened and its fixable with the help of a pump. In a surprise turn of events the Chupacabra saves the day and is an adorable hero. Bonus: it's written in spanish and english.

I only read the English
I speak English and read English, I do not know Spanish but my son loves Adam Rubin books. I thought I would give this book a chance knowing it was written in both languages. I have managed to be able to filter through the writing style and only read the English. If you are able to do this, this book is hilarious. My 5 year old son loves it too.

Spanglish Translation
I really wanted to love this book, but I can’t get over the translation. It’s literally translated in Spanglish and it makes it confusing, in my opinion. Such a shame because we’re big fans of Adam’s other Spanish books.

This book is so much fun, as you get to read in two languages inside one great story.
We all know that El Chupacabras is a fearsome beast, but you cannot believe everything you hear...This book is so much fun, as you get to read in two languages inside one great story. We got this book for our two little ones (2 and 4) They loved the story; especially when the Chupacabra dips his churros in chocolate (My kids loved that). Filled with magic and adventure this book is a fun read, and your kids get to learn new words and meet new friends.
