Suitable for parents without ADD/ADHD, in my opinion
IMO, this book is a great start for a parent that has no experience with ADHD. I, myself, have great experience personally in managing my adult ADD so there was quite a bit of info that wasn’t exactly new to me. The strategies/tips were helpful, however, I would’ve loved to have more specific examples of the tips. Overall, I’m not upset that I bought the book :)

ADHD: An Adequate Resource
It is a practical manual that helps parents of children with ADHD deal with the difficulties of parenting such children. First, Laine defines what ADHD is, including the neuroscience of the disorder and the behaviors children with ADHD may exhibit. It expands on and is clear that ADHD is not just a behavioral problem but a neurological disorder that impacts the development of a child in many ways. The book's core is forty-eight techniques and strategies parents can use to deal with children’s behavior. It aims to give parents all the information they need about ADHD, the behaviors expected in children with the disorder, and ways parents can help their children improve on emotional self-control, attention, and self-regulation.The author also debunks some of the myths surrounding ADHD and explains why it is crucial to appreciate the needs of kids who are different. This book is a great help for parents in search of solutions and strategies for raising neurodivergent children. It offers evidence-based strategies to help manage ADHD symptoms, enabling parents to raise their children in a way that will support their emotional health and development.
