Great parent and teacher resource
Very helpful as a parent with a child with ADHD. Was great to use and as a guiding force when meeting with my child’s teacher as well to create the best accommodation plan.

Good Information!
If you have a child with ADHD, this book is a great resource. It starts off reviewing ADHD and how it affects their everyday life. School is typically a big challenge for kids who are diagnosed with the issue. The rest of the book focuses on how to make the best life for your child from managing behaviors, creating routines, improving communication skills, and much more. I love that there is a chapter for parents on self-care. Having a child with ADHD can be overwhelming at times and you need your own ways to handle stress. There is a stress test included to monitor your levels. This book would also be a good resource for teachers and counselors.

Suitable for parents without ADD/ADHD, in my opinion
IMO, this book is a great start for a parent that has no experience with ADHD. I, myself, have great experience personally in managing my adult ADD so there was quite a bit of info that wasn’t exactly new to me. The strategies/tips were helpful, however, I would’ve loved to have more specific examples of the tips. Overall, I’m not upset that I bought the book :)

Practical Advice
I was reading as a teacher, as well as the grandparent, of a child who has been diagnosed with ADHD. I appreciated the author’s practical approach to parenting and/or grand parenting. It is a blessedly easy read for those who are overwhelmed by “what do I do now?”
