A local movie theater went out of business, I bought a row of seats at the auction for my basement home theater. This is just what I needed to complete the look! Assembly was easy and it was just the accessory I needed.

No directions but easy enough to put together. I do not like that I will have to unscrew it to weight it down, but that's not a huge issue. The bases are kind of cheaply made, but I only got it as a party decoration. Although I do use across my stairs when the nieces and nephews come over. I thought they would tear it apart, but so far, they see the rope, and just walk away. Extra win!

This product is not built to last , used it for a party and the stanchion bottoms dented very easily 🤦🏽‍♀️

These aren't quite as thick as "real" velvet ropes, but still look great. They are velvet, and are a classic lipstick red with gold hardware. They make fun party decorations, and they're solid and large enough (they have a 4" circumference) to be used as actual velvet ropes if you need something like that!

I use these to demarcate the entrance to my workshop, mostly because I enjoy the juxtaposition of implied luxury with the daily grind of making and finishing stuff, but also as a silent pun to myself as only those with sufficient "VIP"-ness may pass. The shop is, after all, a restricted area.All that out of the way the ropes themselves are very well made, firm yet flexible, with a secure lobster claw style clasp on each end anchored in an attractive brass ferrule. It looks like the ferrules could be removed with a #3 phillips driver for when they need re-polishing so you don't risk staining the velvet with metal cleaning compounds. I really like that.

We used these to mark the entrance to our Oscar-themed fundraiser. They lent a glamorous opulent air to the room and really set the tone for the evening!
