I got this to cut up carpet when renovating some rooms in my house. I'm glad that I did! It made quick work of the job. Cut the old carpet and padding with ease. Like the sharpener stone that is attached. Wish I had gotten this sooner. Nice long electric cord. Got to be mindful of the trigger because of the placement. For me, definitely worth the price.

we cut 1/8 thick leather making strips on one end for native hair ties we can put 8 layers and cut once and get 8 complete sections works GREAT ,[[ be carful you will Easly get cut bad }}} i bought the safety gloves they are thin and dont take from feeling what you are doing.. saved me trip for stiches twice. please get the gloves and you will not have any problems this is the best leather cutter i ever had in 76 years of cutting leather. trader mike

I need to cut lots of long strips of fleece fabric, and using scissors that much takes a toll on your hands. I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. It cut through 4 layers of sherpa fleece like it was nothing!!! This would probably cut through 6 - 8 layers of flat fleece with the same ease. Was able to cut the strips in less then a quarter of the time that it would normally take with scissors, and the strips were far straighter. My only concern, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 are safety issues. The "on" button is very easy to hit by accident, and there isn't much of a guard on the blade, so one must be very careful when using this device to avoid a serious injury.

If you cut a lot of material, as I do for woven rugs, this will save you time and sore hands. Additionally, you won’t be replacing rotary cutter blades.

Let’s me start by saying this is my second cutter. Had to replace the last one due to lack of sleep I cut my own cord, it was pretty short though. This one is quite perfect, it quite (8 month old baby stays sleep! I usually cut fabric in the middle of the night). Smooth, it cuts like butter seriously, bonus the cord is actually a good length ( my last one I had to attach an extension to cut longer pieces). The bonus is the finger guard!Just be careful and make sure to unplug when finished, like most electrical cutters (industrial equivalent) there’s no safety lock.Highly recommend plus the packaging was nice too!

Warning, it’s like a belt sander. You press go and it GOES! Don’t underestimate it like I did. With this being said, it’s like anything else, it takes me 5x as long as others to master anything. Make sure you use scrap and have plenty on each side. After several tries, I decided my time crunch wasn’t the smartest time for trial and error…. I’m excited to master it though, man does that buggar go!

It might work well, but I never tried it. I tried holding it. In my small hands, I could not get my fingers around it, and it was so heavy! I couldn’t imagine holding it for any length of time. Returned right away.

I use it to break down cardboard boxes so they fit in my outside garbage can. Perfect purchase.
