Lights are pretty good; Company is great
There are a lot of inexpensive bike lights available on Amazon from a variety of sellers with somewhat off-kilter English, and I've tried several; the reason to buy from DAWAY is that their customer service is top-notch. One of my two lights worked perfectly; the other stopped working after two uses. DAWAY replaced it immediately and at no cost to me. (Plus they always say "Hi dear NAME" in their e-mails, which is charming.) I don't ride fast enough for the patterns to be pretty, but I'm certainly very visible at night!

Great for the price. But expect to replace some.
Great little item. I noticed you need 2 per wheel on a cruiser to for it to show like it does in the picuteres. My first works perfectly. The second arrived with a faulty motion sensor, s I will have to buy more. But, for the price they are still better than some of the more expenisve alternatives.

Great for making yourself seen if you're riding in the dark.
With it being a brutal summer, I wanted to get my long weekend bike rides started sooner before the sun came up so I could be inside before the brutal TX heat really kicked in. However, that meant heading out in the dark. While the area I ride in is generally respectful of cyclists, that's a moot point if they can't see you. I have the typical rear taillight for general riding. But I wanted more since it would be pitch black. An Amazon search turned these up. I took a chance and have used them almost 10 times, for close to 800 miles. So far they've worked great. They definitely light up the wheels. They aren't super bright, but bright enough for any car to see me at night. If I was riding in the day with these, they aren't bright enough and get washed out by the sun. So they don't provide any additional safety once the sun is up. But that's OK, too. Installation is easy enough, and the batteries have lasted thus far. Overall I'm highly satisfied. It gives me more confidence when riding in the dark. I feel lit up like a Christmas Tree with these and other lights I've installed. If I get run over by a car, it won't be because I wasn't seen. Highly recommended.

Work well when they are working
The idea is great. They are easy to install and look great when working well. They are great for safety as well. But even with fresh batteries, they sometimes turn off unexpectedly and do not turn on for a few minutes. Also, they have o-rings, but they still collect water if left outside during a rain, and this has caused some moisture and rust inside. I have cleaned the inside with electronics contact cleaner and replaced the o-rings. They work great when they are working, but I'm not sure they are water resistant. And I bike in the rain. So, 3 stars.

Put screws through the device before putting them on the spoke
The packaging is easy to get into, and they even included an extra screw. It comes with a battery and is easy to figure out. The problem is that when attached to the wheel spoke there is not enough thread left on the other side for the cap to catch. I ended up using my drill to make the split go all the way to the cap. 1st photo what they sent on the right, and after drilling on the left. 2nd photo I used a screwdriver as a stand in for the spoke to show how little thread is left after attaching the device. I haven't riden it yet, so can't comment on the light functionality. But assume that if I don't update the review it works fine. Edit: I just figured out that you are supposed to put the screws through the 'wings' of the doohicky BEFORE putting it on the spoke. So, uh, yeah, I'm an idiot!

Cool, but not worth the price.
I've had these for a few months now. At first glance, they worked fine. But after a few uses, I realized a few things that make them not worth the almost $20 price tag: 1. I believe my pair came from two different sets. I believe this because on one of them, I have to hold the power button down for a few moments to turn on. On this one, once I turn it on, no matter how long I wait or make sure it's not moving, the lights don't turn off (showing it has turned off until the motion detector is activated). This kills the battery in a few hours so I have to hold down the power button to turn the lights off each time. And a few minutes ago I replaced the battery and now it will not turn off at all, even when I hold down the power button. I have to completely remove the battery to turn it off. So I considered this one broken. 2. The second one works how it should. I lightly press the on button, the lights come on, then in a few moments, they go off. Once the wheel starts spinning, the motion sensor activates the lights and boom, perfectly working product. I will probably return these (if I can) in the hopes of getting another set that works. Otherwise I'm just gonna trash these and buy some other cool lights. These are definitely not worth $18. Maybe like $5-$10.

Nice sturdy lights but one arrived broken
The lights are sturdy and pretty bright compared to other bike lights. They are much more sturdy than others I have purchased. Only problem was one arrived broken so it only works part of the time. It looks like in shipping it got smashed, so I had to force the battery in the device. It still works most of the time, so I didn’t want to make a trip to UPS to get a replacement. I would recommend especially if you have a kiddo that falls a lot on their bike and is rough with their bike, they are the best light I have found that do not break or lose parts.
