The mask has a removable front section in order to clean it when needed. That section also cushions around your eyes so that there's no contact from your eyelids to the mask itself, leading to a comfortable fit. Once you get it correctly placed, it's pitch dark.The speaker is adjustable and easy to move around, but stays in place when not intentionally trying to move it.However, I had problems pairing it with an iPhone. No issues with pairing with an Android.

From the first night you wear this, you'll be hooked. I can't say enough how much I love this sleep mask. It absolutely blocks light. I was a graveyard worker for 25 years and could never get my room dark enough. I tried several commercial sleep masks, but none of them really properly sealed out the light. The best one I ever had before this was custom-made for me by my wife. The addition of Bluetooth puts this one over the top. The buttons are easy to use, it connects easily to my phone and seals out every bit of light. The speakers are awesome for adding sleep sounds from Pandora or Spotify. If you do not want to deal with that or have no phone connection, the included sounds work well. It has rain, waves, static and nature sounds. It also has a timer for 30 and 60 minutes and will shut off saving the battery. The inside mask can be removed and placed in the washer. The only weak point I have found is the loop side of the velcro. It wears out quickly. It took me 5 minutes to sew a fresh strip over the top of the old velcro. I use this thing every time I sleep, including naps. Wish I had it years ago. Loved it so much, we had to get one for my wife and son, and it'll be on our Christmas gift list this year as well.

I love this product it's very comfy and i can listen to rain sounds as i sleep. So relaxing!

Combined this and my Loop Quiet 2’s as my other half snores like a Dreamliner taking off with an active earthquake happening. Had plans early this morning that got yeeted because I got a solid 12 hours of beauty sleep. 100% recommend. Only downside is that there’s not much movement for the speakers if you have a big/small head.

Pros:- Design does allow total blackout- Velcro strap doesn't get worn out like elastic; strap designed so Velcro won't catch on hair- Excellent battery life. I've gone two full nights of sleep on a single charge without it running out.Cons:- Imprecise volume controls are the biggest issue. Single press on +/- buttons does playlist forward/back, so volume requires a long press. You can't control volume by increments via the mask; the sound just "slides" up or down as you're holding the button, with no way to easily get it exactly where you want it. I have to use my device's volume buttons - but that only works when you're using Bluetooth. If you're using the mask's built-in white noise, good luck adjusting the volume perfectly.- Can't wash the whole thing. The wiring & speakers are not removable, so the only part of the mask you can wash is the removable inner eye lining.- Speakers move very little within the mask. I can't get them directly over my ears, which means I need the volume higher. If you're sleeping alongside someone, they'll be able to hear some noise from the mask.- Control panel is very bulky. Probably only actually a problem if you sleep truly face down, but it's not aesthetically pleasing & does make using it a little more difficult.

I got this as I've never had a sleep mask before, but as I've started taking mid day naps, I found the ambient daylight bothersome, this is a gamechanger for me. When I've got it playing some music and I'm wearing it, I don't even notice it isn't night time and I can fall asleep far easier than without it. I'm impressed with how much of an upgrade this has been to my quality of life. Highly recommend. The only downside with this is the quality isn't perfect, but at the price point it is entirely sufficient and not a glaring downside, only a minor note. For what it is, it's brilliant.
