Clear water
This worked great on our spa. The water cleared up and stayed clear. It does not cause foam like some other products and is safer for the spa.

Great chemical for hot tub
5/5 for a product that is meant to do its job. ith a hot tub in the backyard, we need chemicals like this to make sure our water is balanced. This review is simple as it is a good product. It dissolves quickly and keep the hot tub free of algae.

This non-chlorine shock treatment is the way to go.
Like a lot of hot tub owners, I was constantly battling cloudy water. That ended when I discovered this particularly chemical. The first batch I got was a different brand from WalMart but as the summer ended they ran out and I picked this up from Amazon. It was cheaper per ounce than WalMart and is the same chemical. Unfortunately, there are no tests available for its concentration in your water but after discussions with two different companies I concluded that it is safe to simply dose your tub once a week. In between, make CERTAIN you keep your pH where its supposed to be: 7.2 - 7.5. This is a the lower end of the typical given range but it is necessary to keep this stuff working. And when its working it's BLOODY PERFECT. Crystalline, no-smell, no-foam water day after day after day. Mind you that this stuff does not do regular sanitation. You will still need to add chlorine to your water, but without also relying on chlorine to shock your system, the levels can be kept just about to the minimum of their range. I highly recommend this stuff and am confident you'll be happy with the results.

Compare to Marquee brand Oxidizer
This stuff works way better than the peroxide based liquid spa oxidizers, and doesn't push the PH around. It boosts the free chlorine nicely, and I think it makes the water clearer and less foamy. I would compare it to the Marquee brand oxidizer, but it costs less. 1 oz does the trick to shock a 350 gal spa.
