I use rechargeable batteries that last in all other toys with this they need to be changed daily it ridiculous

As soon as I put the batteries in it started going and didn’t stop until the batteries ran out. Again purchasing here on Amazon there’s no quality control - this is the fourth product Made in China that I’ve had to throw right in the bin. Good deal doesn’t mean good quality.

The media could not be loaded.  First impressions of this is that the boxit came in looks like something you would see in a budget shop. The octopus itself looks OK. It feels solid and there are no imperfections. It takes 3 AAA batteries that you place in after unscrewing the compartment on the bottom. I feel that the mini Screwdriver supplied was not well made as the top of the handle was a tiny bit sharp and was rubbing against my hand when trying to get the 4 mini screws out and back in. There is no on/off button, as it automatically starts up when placed on water. The lights are certainly not the brightest, but the fountain spraying out is decent and will make any little one happy at bathtime. This item could be a lot worse than what it is, but its not bad.Edit... one day after this review, this item would not turn off after coming out of the water, even after extensive drying. Due to lack of on/off switch, the batteries had to be removed, and noticed that somehow water had found its way into in the battery compartment. Changed from 3 stars to 1.

This bath toy is a waste of money!Drains Batteries quickly and badly spouts out water.Noisy too.Avoid

Son is very happy with this bath toy. Takes 3 batteries. It was a little tricky to turn off. I realised you need to ensure the sensor is completely dry. Fun toy.
