Really good book!!
I rarely find the time to read a book cover-to-cover but I made time to read this entire book. This is the perfect book to get you quickly up to speed on the latest Kotlin/Android topics, especially Jetpack Compose. It hits on every topic you would need to know to be a great Android developer using the latest Android frameworks and tools. I found it best to reference the official Android documentation while reading this book to dive deeper into certain topics as there is no way to fit all that information into one book. I definitely recommend this book!

Great Introduction & Overview for iOS developers coming to Android for KMP
Very thorough tour of the tooling required to bring an Android-based Compose application from common architecture patterns to testing to publishing in the Play store. For iOS developers coming to produce KMP applications, this is a useful book to give an idea of how most Android devs handle the various tasks to bring an app to market.

Solid Foundation for Java Developers Transitioning to Kotlin
This book seems perfectly suited for Android developers with Java experience looking to learn Kotlin. The first two chapters I've read provide a clear and well-organized introduction.Chapter 1 effectively introduces Kotlin and highlights its advantages for Android development, while Chapter 2 dives into setting up the development environment with Android Studio.A huge strength of this book is its visual approach. The inclusion of images and code blocks makes the explanations in Chapter 1 even more understandable, especially for those familiar with Java syntax. Chapter 2 also benefits from this visual approach, making it easy to follow the process of creating an Android Studio project. While I haven't gotten further yet, these initial chapters establish a solid foundation for mastering Kotlin development for Android.

This is a good book
This book contains anything needed for developers who are looking to learn or advance their development skill by reading or applying what they are learning. I have been a developer for more than 10 years and I can assure you that if a new person or a developer with experience reads and applies the knowledge found from this book, they will be able to get in line with the latest technology developers are using in the field the moment I posted this comment. This is a good book to read. I like to follow the reading and while I read I also apply what I get from the reading just as it. Developers can do the same with this book and later apply the knowledge to their real life project.

Too expensive
Like many other books, the first 100 pages are good, showing Jetpack Compose to design the visual part and using practical examples. However, after those first 100 pages the book begins to explain everything theoretically as if it were documentation, or uses not very interesting examples, such as consuming a cat's API. Instead, it would have been useful to see examples of how to use network APIs, e.g. how to upload a photo to a server, etc. It's not worth the price.
