Insulated steel mug style thermos
This double walled insulated steel mug with handle and lid came from Tommy Bahamas and was priced at $35 when we ordered. This style of steel mug has become real popular recently and we have a few of them now. The quality on this unit is good, almost premium quality, but not quite.Ill start with the complaints as minor as they are. The color matching on the plastic handle to the body is very close, but not perfect. From 10 feet its imperceptible, but up close you can see it. They didn't try color matching on the white plastic tab on the lid to the cup. The threads for the lid arent the best. The half turn design functions well, but doesnt feel good when screwing the lid on, you have to work the o-ring in while catching the threads. It works, but could be better. The inside canister has a visable seem. None of these are a big deal, but my more expensive Y branded cup is seemless inside, has perfect color matching and the lid screws on like butter. The lid seals the container well when the straw is not being used. It passed the leak test upside down and on its side. When the straw is in place liquid can leak from around the straw grommit. This is almost unavoidable so its hard to hold this against the design. The straw grommit seals as intended when the straw isnt in place. The straw can also be used in the drink hole side as well if you dont like using the grommited side. The flip down cap seals the drink hole securely and has good engagement. The straw is a long one piece clear plastic unit.To test the insulative properties 1 pint of ice and 1 pint of water were placed in the container. After 12 hrs on the kitchen counter at around 65F about 30% of the ice remained. After 24 hrs the ice had melted, but the water was still very cold. The finish on the body of the mug is well done. It has the expected texture and the logo is lazer ecthed on. The plastic handle has a decent texture and doesnt get as cold/hot as the body of the cup.Overall this is a nice mug with good looks and functionailty. It has premium designer branding which adds to the appeal for may people. I give it 4.5 stars as it could be better, but it could also be more expensive, so it balances out.

Absolutely love and recommend!
So what's one more water bottle? Don't we all have too many to fit in our cupboards? Well yes, but this one is awesome anyway! I have a regular hydro bottle with a flip straw that I like and have used for a couple of years. The problem is the diameter makes it difficult to take in the car because drink holders are always too small. I like to have a large quantity of water to last me all day long so this 40oz was exactly the solution. It has a handle which I really like too as it makes it much easy to grab and hold. It fits perfectly in my car drink holder. The straw doesn't fold down like my other one and so I wasn't sure if I would like that, but so far it's not been as cumbersome as I thought it could be. The lid is a bit hard to get on and off. There are threads on the lid and in the cup, but there isn't anywhere to grab the lid because it's flush with the cup so you can't really get the leverage to turn it. I just get my fingernail under the edge of it and pop it up and it comes off fine. It does stay on very well too. There is a flip top if you like to drink that way, but I don't like to put my head back to drink especially if I'm drivingso I always use the straw which is a clear acrylic straw. I like that I can see the into the straw because they can get pretty gross in there when you can't see them. The color I have is the beige and it's a nice neutral color. The Tommy Bahama logo appears to be laser etched in the bottle and not just a decal so it shouldn't wear off. It does an amazing job of keeping the ice and water cold for at least 24 hours. I notice it particularly overnight. The ice is still full in the cup and I can just add more water to it. So that is pretty impressive. My more expensive drink bottles that are firmly closed without an open straw don't even manage that. Overall, I am really liking this bottle and I highly recommend it.

Good Travel Mug
The water bottle is a good side and comfortable to hold. It fits nicely in a cup holder in the car. It keeps cold liquids cold and and hot liquids hot (a little too hot). It has a cover over the area to drink and another rubber area where a straw can be pushed through. I found drinking from the straw easier than the opening (which is similar to most coffee cups from take out locations). It doesn't rate 5 stars for the following reasons:The cup is not fully spill proof. The area you can push the straw through is not fully sealed (otherwise how could you push a straw through it). If you turn the cup upside down, liquid will come out. But for jostling around while driving, it will not spill. The other reason, is the straw. There's no cover for it and no place to store it other than putting it in the straw hole. When stored in a cabinet I prefer to not have to wash out the cup or straw, so for now I have covered it with tin foil, but I would have preferred some kind of cap for the straw.Overall, I like this cup for the car. It's a good travel mug.
