Bag was open when it arrived and pellets much smaller than advertised
I use activated carbon in my 3D printers, especially with my resin printer. I got some of those cute little battery filters that use a cube in the top. They work well enough I guess but being so small they saturate with odor pretty fast and those cubes aren't so cheap. Since I use pelletized carbon in my FDM printer with my nevermore I was already familiar with using. I designed up some tray inserts for the resin filters that could hold pelletized carbon. Once I started doing that I ran through my stock pretty quick. Scanning Amazon for a viable replacement brought this to my attention so I ordered it. So far it seems to be working just fine and with the price so cheap I don't feel bad about replacing it after a days use. If you find yourself using those little filters you can find the design I worked up on the site famous for their orange parts and you too can make a “print ables” version to use these pellets in.The good, these appear to be virgin carbon pellets and should work for most needs. The less as good, the bag mine came in was open and a number of pellets fell out inside the bubble mailer. The bags opening apparently has been a problem in the past since they tried taping the outside as you see in the pictures. I was less worried about the pellets loose but the bag being opened as it will absorb nearly every odor it comes in contact with i.e. warehouse trucks etc. Thankfully they did not appear to have an odor. Also less as good, these are much smaller than the images show. Now for my purposes it’s not a problem actually but not everyone may be as pleased with that. An accurate picture up front would be a better route.

Activated Charcoal Is Perfect For Small To Medium Terrarium
This 1.1lb package of activated charcoal is processed by many processes causing it to be perfect for neutralizing odors in composters or in what I am using it for my terrarium. The particles are small with their length being 2mm so that can be more exposed to air and capture smells more fully. The manufacturer claims this size bag will provide 3 to 6 months of use so we shall see. I am at the beginning of my terrarium building career and I have been seeking out all the best components and I am hopeful that this is one of them.

Great for countertop composters
This is great for our countertop composter. The bag was easy to open and pour from- so no spilling charcoal pellets everywhere. The pellets absorb smell for a really long time, so you aren’t having to always replace them. Honestly without charcoal pellets absorbing the smells, I imagine running a countertop compost machine smells very unpleasant.

Item Description Corrected And I’m Happy – 5 Stars
I noticed that many peer reviews were highly negative. Upon reading, there was apparently confusion in item description that was involved. This listing is only for slightly over one pound (17.6oz or 500g) of activated charcoal in a sealed bag. My photo shows this item in comparison to a U.S. Dollar Bill.Listing shows that this charcoal is wood sourced. I believe coconut husks make for slightly higher quality charcoal, but this product will work to absorb odors. It can additionally be used to treat water for suspected petroleum/chemical contaminants, and even used as an emergency treatment for poisoning (be sure to first consult your own medical treatment professionals for any such emergencies).I think that pelletized form of the product results in a slightly higher listing price. While I prefer a lower item price for better overall value, I am nonetheless very happy with this item.I hope you found my comments and photo to be of benefit. Thanks for checking!

Used for odor absorbing
I bought this for a slightly different purpose than most people. I'm using this for absorbing odors in cabinets. And it's doing the job pretty well! Something about the small size of the pellets makes me feel like there's more surface area for odors to come into contact with compared to larger bricks.

I don't know what y'all think...but
I have a Lomi and it requires charcoal filler. Thses pallets are definitely much cheaper than getting them through Lomi store. They sell 500 grams/bag x 2 for $35-42 and this is twice as much but also half the price. Charcoal pellets are pretty much the same everywhere.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED
I recently bought a Smart Composter that uses Activated Carbon. I have been looking for this product ever since I read about it with the instructions that came with my composter. I am very pleased to have found the exact activated charcoal filters refill that I needed. I will buy more of this activated carbon when I start to run low.
