An excellent deal. I especially like the 2.5 AH battery with is fairly light weight and has plenty of power for edging and 'weed-eating' the yard. The edger is perfect and fast. The weed-eater is a bit long and challenging if you don't want to edge horizontally, but lean in for a slight tilt.

This is my second season with the edger and trimmer. I already had an ego trimmer, but it didn’t have the auto feed on the line. Love this feature! Edger: After getting through the first run around the lawn, it’s been fantastic. It can be a little heavy, but once you have the initial edge cut, it becomes much more manageable. It came with a four amp hour battery which has been enough power all my tools for several hours before a recharge. I would highly recommend this.

these work so well for starting lawn clean up in the summer season. way quitter than any gas powered models. ive been non stop impressed with ego products since i bought the whole multitool head line up and mower. well worth the cost. so what its electric i would put its torq up against any gas powered machine.. seriously.

We purchased the EGO multihead combo kit plus some other accessories last year. We have a large yard and do a lot of gardening and yardwork so it gets a lot of use. As a woman in my early 60's with some arthritis, I've found it easy to use and not too heavy. It seems to be very well made, and we've used every tool multiple times. The string trimmer especially has been easy to use, with less problems like excessive string breakage that my previous electric trimmer had, so I can get the job done quickly and without frustration. I am really looking forward to gardening and yardwork this year as the ECO has been making the heavy work so much easier.

If you want to go electric this is a good way to go. It's very heavy and if you're a slight person you may find this uncomfortable. It came with a strap which surprised me and am grateful for. Two things: it's very expensive but it is solid and all functions are first class. There are other similar trimmers but research always led me back to Ego. This particular combo never goes on sale. I watched and waited a year. Finally decided to go for it. Also...the 5.0ah battery only lasts approx 30 minutes. If you have a smaller area to edge/trim, that's fine. I have a large yard and walkway. It needs alot of attention. If you have an hour or more work to do you must have a back up battery if not 3. I recommend getting at least a 9.0ah battery. The charger is excellent and usually recharges in about 30 minutes, so using two batts in tandem works. Lastly it has a great warranty so register it and save your documentation. I dont have confidence in technology but with a solid warranty with a solid company I feel more comfortable with an extreme purchase. So if you have some extra cash and you want to enter the electric field I'm willing to recommend this combo. You can expect a quality experience.

This does work great! It has plenty of power on low setting. High is great for overly thick stuff. Both heads swap out nicely. I've had this for a full season and a half now. I've had no issues.

Excellent string trimmer and edger combo from EGO. Having used the multi head system for the last year I have no complaints. Battery last plenty long for my purposes and with plenty of power to get the job done. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to ditch a gas trimmer and invest in the EGO echo system. Buy with confidence.

Amazing product, works exactly as I hoped. The neck strap is a great help in supporting the weight.

Not much I can really say here, the units work flawlessly, although I do wish it did not weight as much as it did though, they are quite heavy with the battery installed. You need to use the shoulder straps they come with or at least mine did. Overall I would say 5 stars for functionality and ability to switch out the heads. but I would give it 4 stars for weight and comfort. Overall 4 star
