A disappointing little powerhouse!
CONS: Disappointingly small The THIN, FRAGILE antenna Bluetooth volume is different from the other modes PROS: LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE. So long as you're aware of the CON'S, you'll be STUNNED by the PRO'S. It has GREAT reception of FM, AM, Weather, and the other bands it supports. The sound is far clearer than other "emergency" radios at this price point and under. The speaker has a surprising about of BASS, for such a tiny little micro-pocket-radio. It actually startled me with how loud it was! Operation is easy to figure out, right out of the box. There's even a phone app that allows you to control the radio. I didn't see the need, but it's a bonus if you want that.

Great little Radio
GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!! The size and design is perfect . Great sound and easy to us . Only problem is I wish the battery would last longer. But that is minor and it does last several hours . Anyway, I just love it and would highly recommend at this point in time. still new , so anything can happen

"The Swiss Army Knife of Radios Is VERY Dull—And Just as Useless for Serious Listening"
If you're considering the Retekess 113 Multi Band Radio with Bluetooth hoping to get an all-in-one device that actually delivers on its promises, save yourself the disappointment. This radio is the textbook definition of "jack of all trades, master of none." Let’s start with the battery life. Fresh out of the box, fully charged, and treated like royalty—and still, it barely lasts a single day Without being plugged in to power. A “portable” radio that needs to be plugged in constantly isn’t portable at all. Now let’s talk reception. FM comes in okay. Weather band? Also decent. But as for the shortwave, AM, and other multi-band options? Completely useless. I’ve hooked this thing up to a whip antenna, a loop antenna, and the built-in telescoping one—all at once. Still, nothing. To make things even more ridiculous, the radio is placed right next to a window—you would think that would at least help it pull in a few stations. But no. Even that doesn’t help. This thing seems allergic to reception. The sad irony is this radio tries to be everything: shortwave receiver, AM/FM, NOAA weather alert, MP3 player, Bluetooth speaker, alarm clock, and more. But like the old saying goes, when something tries to do too much, it ends up doing none of it well. Bluetooth connects, sure, but that’s the bare minimum you’d expect from a device in this price range. In short, this radio isn’t worth the price of shipping, let alone the $200+ that is the actual cost. If you want a shortwave radio that works very well, does less, but does it better, skip this overhyped paperweight and get yourself the Grundig Satellit 700 World Shortwave Radio. It costs the same—or maybe a little more than the Retekess 113—but unlike the Retekess, it's actually worth the price. Sadly, this Retekess is not.

Fun, subjectively cool looking, a few issues - wait to catch it on sale
Edit: One important thing to consider. There are at least four other companies that offer the same radio in different colors. All of them come with a replaceable battery. The Retekess is the only one that comes with a battery hardwired to the radio. The Retekess battery is also advertised as 1600 mAh while the others come with a 2000mAh. So the others have a longer run time, and you can upgrade the replaceable batteries to get even longer run times. Eventually the battery in the Retekess will no longer hold a charge. Then I guess you throw it away. At least five companies sell this radio in different colors. Some come with more accessories like a case, clip on wire antenna and earbuds, but the Retekess just came with a carrying strap, type C charging cable a small cleaning brush and a small screw driver to remove the battery panel even though the Retekess version doesn't have a removable battery. I caught mine on a double discount that dropped the price by 33% which helps me overlook some of the shortcomings of this radio. This is a complicated little radio and probably not good for a beginner. It does come with a good manual if you are already fairly familiar with multi band radio jargon. The speaker sounds good and gets louder than you'd expect from a small radio. FM and AM sensitivity is not bad at all. Shortwave however is plagued with annoying birdies to the point you will avoid SW listening and opt for a better radio. Weather band works fine. I didn't try Air or VHF. Bluetooth sometimes worked, sometimes it does't pair, and you have to remove it off my phone and reinstall so not. I had to return mine because the antenna wouldn't extend all the way out. Two sections were hopelessly stuck in the down position and the antenna is already one of the thinnest and needlessly fragile antenna I've ever seen on a radio. I wouldn't recommend this radio to a kid because it's overly complicated to operate and that flimsy antenna is likely to be broken in short order. Ironically, I got it mainly because it reminded me of a radio I had as a kid. If you think you want one wait until you get a good discount and enjoy it for what it is.

Great little radio, after overcoming quality control issues
I love this little radio. However, be aware that there are quality control issues. The first unit I was sent was defective in two major respects: 1. The battery was either defective or disconnected and would neither charge nor operate the radio. 2. there was no reception whatsoever on the shortwave band, even with an external antenna connected—No stations at all. Apparently, the whip antenna was improperly connected internally. I returned the defective unit, and the replacement works just fine: impressive shortwave reception, room-filling sound from a tiny radio, and a fabulous Bluetooth app that allows one to seamlessly tune and control the unit remotely from across the room. In other words, someone has finally created a remote control for shortwave radio! Wonder of wonders! If only there were more to listen to on SW these days.

Perfect small shortwave packed with features.
I love this radio. Expansive features, fun to use, great receive, and really killer sound for it's size.

Review of Retekess Short Wave Radio One Star Best but disappointing Since early childhood, radio has been my consistent companion. I spent hours with books & radio to upgrade & update myself in fast changing world. Short wave has been my most favourite band. Valve radio satiated that thirst from 1970s till 2000 but excellent Philips two in one too was able to tune in BBC. Recently it became impossible to repair those old radios. Importing other radio’s became more difficult & I came across this Retekess on Amazon. I tested it at & around home and was happy to listen to some distant MW stations but to test SW maximum stations I travelled today 100 kms and came to dam backwaters & noticed many more SW stations. BBC I got which made me very happy. Still I give one star because I don’t know when built in battery will stop working & nobody in Pune can repair it. Other major flaw is that line out is possible only through headphone & to PC but blue tooth connection to car system or BT headphone is not possible.
