But because there is so much repetition in the story, she started to read more and more of the parts herself until she could read the whole book alone. It proved to be a massive milestone in her reading because it improved her reading speed tremendously (since she know most of the sections by heart). However, ever since she learned to read this one book (Room on the Broom), her general reading speed has also significantly improved. So for me it has been a great investment. My son likes very much this humorous stories with a lot of rhythm in them. After couple of reading he is able to repeat whole parts of them. And great colourful illustrations are icing on the top - they are able to gain focus of the kids.
