2 year review
After two years and tons of camping trips here’s my review:Pros-The set up is extremely easy. They have really made it brain dead… Pull on it till stuff snaps in place. Then strap it down. The carrying case is over sized so it leaves room to put other supplies in the bag with your tent and also makes it EXTREMELY easy to zip back up when you’re all done and packing up. The shape of the tent allows me (6ft 1in) to stand up with plenty of head room. The side pockets on both sides of the tent are standard but well made and hold all my gear.My favorite feature is the windows. The view is insane. 360 degree view and on calm nights it’s an absolute must to have them down. It also vents and airs out so much faster than other tents. Winter camping can create moisture inside that mildews if not aired out properly before put away. No issues with this tent. Airs out and drys up in minutes.Cons-Because of its height the joints under heavier winds will buckle… travel with some emergency duct tape and some paracord to secure your tent if winds pick up. Both our trips to talladega had us needing to secure the elbows to easy up we had staked next to the truck. (Really wasn’t an issue)

Easy set up for sure
The media could not be loaded. The first product I bought wasn't even the same brand. Someone made an honest mistake and sent me something completely wrong. They returned it and I bought the right thing. After the first tent setup, I was nervous about investing in this. The first one didn't go together easy, the poles were in another bag, I was hot and sweaty and kinda stressed after I got it put together. See the last pic for the wrong tent. I also saw that the wrong tent wasn't mostly a screen tent. I am making a trip where it will be hot and humid and muggy. I already know tent camping is hot, I didn't want to be completely uncomfortable. Well I got the new tent and first of all, the bag for it is very long. The other one was about a foot and a half maybe. So ok, that is different. Next the piles were attached. Wow, this us different! Putting it together, you put it in the back of your truck. Unfold it. Pull up the center so all the poles are kinda standing and push the center piece, it's under the main center, down to lock it. Then put your pole legs where they go, extend the front legs, and add the straps. I did it, by myself, in around 15 to 20 minutes. And I was reading directions every do often. The windows all zip up, but if you want rain protection use the rainfall. I haven't had it in the rain yet, but as with any tent I am sure the rain fly is there for a reason. As for putting the rain fly on? No instructions for it, but I put it on after I had already slept in the tent overnight. It was pretty easy without any instructions. Now for the pros and cons list:The good, it is super easy to set up it is nice and Breezy and makes for a very comfortable night's rest. Putting the rainfly on after it's been up is a little bit weird and it probably should get put on before you put the tent all the way up, but I wanted a screen tent to sleep in last night. The con, not cons but con: you can see in the couple of pictures before the video that for my particular truck there is a gap in the back where the tent doesn't fully go over the sides. The bad thing about that is if it were to rain I will have rain under my tent. I think I can make the rainfly work to keep most of the rain from going under my tent but it is not something that was thought of for my particular truck. I have a 2001 Ford F-150 dual cab small box. And it is the side step box so you can see from the pictures, that my truck actually kind of gets more narrow by the tailgate than it is up at the front by the cab. That is my only issue so far with this tent.I will update this review after my camping experience in a few weeks with more pictures I am sure. All in all I am happy that I have this I also have another mattress that I will be using for this. I have a pop-up camper and I will be taking the mattress off of one of the beds in my pop-up camper and using it it in here. I know some of you are saying why would I get a tent if I already have a pop-up camper, but I am pulling a horse trailer and going horse camping so I can't exactly pull a horse trailer and a pop-up camper at the same time. So this is my solution to that problem.

Kept us dry
Overall this was a great tent. We moved to a different campsite daily since we were traveling all around the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. Super quick set up and tear down. We did experience a pretty good rain one night in it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the rain fly. It needs to be about 12” longer on each side so that it hangs over the bed of the truck. We got some good side rain and the actual tent wasn’t 100% waterproof. This can be solved by applying your own silicone tent spray or a longer rainfly. Now for the positives. My wife loved all of the storage. Can stand up in this one. 99% waterproof. Compact. Easy setup and tear down. Full size tent fits the newer Ram trucks with the Rambox storage perfectly.

Quick and Easy setup. Good value for the money.
I purchased this product because it looked like it was the easiest to assemble compared to other truck bed tents. I needed something I could assemble by myself and I didn’t want to deal with a bunch of color coded tent poles. It took me about 20 minutes to set up the first time. There is a durable set of instructions sewn into the bag. Great Idea! Won’t get lost or fall apart if they get wet. Instructions were written by an English speaker and include pictures. They could have had a little bit better explanation on fastening the straps. The corner straps split in 2 near the tent and this part should be split over each side of a corner to lock everything in place. It took a few minutes to figure this out. Otherwise instructions were easy to follow. The only issue I had was that the threads of the seam started coming apart on one of the corner straps. This won’t be a big deal to re-sew. I reached out to the company and they got back to me right away wanting to rectify it. In the end I accepted a partial refund in exchange for making the repair myself. This company wants to make sure every customer is happy with the product.First time take down took 5 minutes, again being careful and consulting the instructions. Should be quick setup and takedown once I’ve done it a few times. The material it is constructed from appears to be nylon for the upper part and plastic tarp for the lower. I expect that it should last several years if not left out in the sun for extended periods of time. For the price of this product it is good value for the money. I visited a National Park last month and stayed in a crappy 2 star hotel off site which cost me $200 for one night. The next one I go to I’ll be camping in my truck bed tent, which will have paid for itself after 1 night.I’ll update this review after actually using the tent. I expect it to work fine for my needs.

Surprised!
I've only had this Fofana truck tent for a few weeks but have been pleased with the product and customer service so far. I've had it set up 3 times now and have found it easy to set up after figuring things out the first time. It's about a 10-15 minute project for me at this point.I have a 5'5" F150 bed with at Back Flip bed cover. I found that with the cover folded all the way forward the tent hangs about 3" over the edge of the tailgate. I put loose cut 1/4" plywood on the floor of the truck bed to even out all the ripples and rough spots and cut it 3" longer than the tailgate. The tent poles no longer hang over and work well and the plywood provides a smooth platform for the tent floor. When I bought this I probably didn't fully realize that the usable width of the bed (50") between the wheel wells is what you have to work with. Using a 24" wide Therm-a-rest to sleep on still leaves over 2' of usable floor space. Thinking about going to a 30" wide Therm-a-rest and still having plenty of room to stand in. I'm 6'5" and the extra inside height makes the space feel much, much larger than I expected.Customer Service: I've already managed to put a couple of small tears in the rain fly. Totally my fault and wouldn't have happened under normal use. Late afternoon I emailed Fofana and asked what the best way to repair the rain fly would be. Within a couple of hours (after normal working hours) I received a good personal response with suggestions and a link to a website. When asked if there was a product problem I responded that it was on me not them. Another response came from them asking that I let them know how the repairs went and that if I wasn't happy with the outcome they would send me another rain fly. Pretty unusual these days.In my mind the tent is well worth the $200.. A really simple and well designed solution for those people that have trucks, want to sleep off the ground and like drive up camping. A definite thumbs up!
