Fun little bot.
Fun toy. I purchased it for my 5 year old granddaughter but the 8 and 9 year olds enjoyed playing with it too.

Perfect gift for 5 year-old's birthday
This thing is really cool, and works surprisingly well. Lots of actions that can expand with the child's creativity - very fun to watch them interact and explore with basic programming. The dances are super popular with the family!

Adorable and cool coding toy
This machine is extremely adorable and educational when put the use. I feel that most of the time my kids do need help with it their ages seven and nine. It’s a fun toy and functional. If you wanna learn coding at a simple level, he comes with plenty of activities that will not get boring quickly. It’s honestly a really cool product and fun toy for the children. All questions I had was served by engaging with it.

Truly great
I am thrilled I came across this coding robot, and couldn't be more impressed with it overall. For reference, I am both a parent and a software engineer, and have always planned to introduce my children to coding. There are a few games out there designed for younger minds; however, the "better" ones are all screen-based - and yes, while programming is typically is done on a computer, my kids get enough of that already and there are absolutely other ways to teach the fundamentals. Prime example - this coding robot. It is a true STEM toy that is very well designed for teaching the building blocks of coding to the 3-5 age group.PROs:- It has over 256 commands, including loops and sequences. These are the essential coding concepts. It's also help my son build understanding of 'if-then-else', 'for each', and even case based concepts.- The game board is a tactile and very engaging experience. My son loves robots (which is a plus), but playing with me is a huge selling point for him, too. He'd rather sit down and play this board game with me by his side than watch any Nickelodeon show out there. It's a win-win.- It's a learning, adventure, storytelling, building game all in one. Kinda neat that it supports multiple languages as well. We are a bi-lingual household, so we may give that a try at some point.- Definitely education geared. It'd be great for classrooms. It requires your littles to problem solve and activate their logical and critical thinking skills in a new way. I can't help but be so proud of my son watching him play this game and work through the different sequences, and just get creative. They do say, play based learning is the best kind of learning for children this age. And I'm all for it.CONs:- I almost didn't put any, but if I'm being completely reasonable, you should allow for a bit of a learning curve with this toy. There's a lot to it, and there may be an onboarding process for some. You may want to play around with it a bit and get a feel for how it's played before introducing it to your toddler or young child. Just so they aren't sitting there waiting to play, while you're busy reading the instructions. It's arguably my favorite toy my son has had to date. And honestly, as cliche as this sounds, it's not just a toy; it's an investment in your child's future. Also, I do recommend pairing it with the activity boxes for more well-rounded learning experience. Overall, it's innovative, educational, and above all, incredibly fun. If you're looking to introduce your little one to the world of programming or STEM in a fun and actually effective way, this is your bot.

Pick the pro
I purchased the Pro and the Basic. I was looking for some similarities to them before I purchased them but couldn't really find anything out online. I'm honestly really glad I purchased both so I could compare them and not be upset I didn't get the other one.First of all I want to say before you read it if you don't want to read my long review. Skip the basic. Get the pro.The pro is very much smaller than the basic but honestly it fits better in the lines of the boards. The obvious of the pro can charge without needing batteries and the pro also shows you each color you choose in order that you choose them. The pro also has a volume control that allows you to go super low to normal and then super loud. The basic does not. The pro has 10 languages where the basic only has 3. The pro honestly performs much much better and the basic basically doesn't work well at all. The pro had no problems doing straight, turning and being on a straight axis line. The basic's functions and turns were off slightly having me have to put it back at the start or last scanned area. it did that continuously. The pro's music is different but other than that all of the other sounds are the same. Again it's smaller in size but works better. Also the accessories it comes with just make it better as well as you can make it have arms, blocks, markers etc...skip the basic one. Don't waste the time or money and just get the pro. It is really cool and works well. It's fun for the kids to use and learn and they get a kick out of the activity mat and drawing. I will be ordering a case of activities for the pro which is another plus for the pro because they are made for the pro and not the basic.
