Spectre Performance 9731DK Air Filter Wrap, 1 Pack

Barely fit over K&N system 57-6005 (K&N filter RX-4750, see photo) but it fit great once it's on!

Spectre has several cone filters but the 8.75" length/height cones seem to all have the same taper. I have the 9732 filter and this cover fits perfectly. I did some tests with water on the cover but not on the filter so I could see what passed thru. I also tested this from a vertical point, not from the side or below. If it takes a direct hit, it will pass thru. Rain drops (tested with sprinkling water on the cover) did not get thru and pool up. Gentle splashes mostly pooled up but some got thru. Considering the results and a real world application, this should deflect most water since the hood and overall engine bay will not allow a direct hit. Mine is a bit more open from the bottom but I'd be comfortable with water splashing it from about 1 foot or more away. Any less and I'd have to be careful/considerate. All in all the fitment, function, and price are all appropriate. I'll def order another as a backup since I live in the AZ desert. Pro Tip: If you don't tailgate, you don't get dusted out as much ;)

I measured both my intake and sock both came out to came size but it is a big snug tight but just be careful not to rip it so it gently. Overall looks sexy and fits good keeps dust out and particles

Will not repel water directly under a Running faucet but can wick away sprays and occassional splashes. Good enough for my application to protect my cone filter located in the front bumper which receives air directly through a big hole

Just learned about these "pre" covers and not sure why I never bought them before. I clean & reoil my aFe CAI permanent filter every 6 months. But if this cover can filter out all the huge dirt chunks, bugs and junk, it will help a lot to help my filter to last much longer. Some claim that this filter can help against water getting into the air intake. No, it does not, but I tend not to drive in 4 feet of water very often. (Buy a proper snorkel!) But as a coarse pre-filter to protect my oiled filter, it is perfect. This cover is around 1/4th the price of the "name-brand" version!

I used this to cover a MOPAR cleanable air filter that was being attacked by mice, yes mice, they were eating the filter medium. Since I put this cover off the rodents have stopped chewing on my expensive filter.

Does not look as advertised and won’t fit your air filter .

I ordered this specifically to fit the filter number. SPE9732 it does not fit. It is too short and it is not stretchable to cover the entire filter. Other than that it appears to be well-made and looks like it would do the job quite well, but it does not fit my filter

Was shocked to see people with 4 cylindres use this as it's like 4 times the air travel capacity of à regular size round filter. This was perfect for à hemi v8.

I have a AEM filter, conical shape, 4" one end x 6" other end and 9" long. This filter fits it pretty good. Another inch longer would have been better. But it is much cheaper than the AEM covers. And of course this cover fits the Spectre filter of about the same shape of my AEM. I recommend this filter.
